Hello!
My name is Erin Mendoza and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I have been a licensed MFT since 2012, but I have been working in the mental health field for about 20 years. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, and history of trauma. I have supported clients in strengthening and building coping skills, in learning who they are and how to live more authentically, and in building confidence and self-esteem. I have a special interest in working with Autistic and other neurodivergent people.
As I therapist, I believe in meeting clients where they are, acknowledging and drawing on existing strengths to help them work toward their goals. I draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches, to find what will work best for you. I welcome honest feedback from my clients; if an intervention isn't helpful for you, I want to know, so we can find something that is.
It takes strength and courage to seek support in making changes in your life. I look forward to joining with you and helping you on your journey.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
