I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado with 9 years of experience working with a diverse population in both individual and group settings. My experience includes working with depression, anxiety, LGBT related concerns, and trauma. I have also worked with individuals struggling with relationship concerns as well as individuals dealing with emotional distress.
My counseling style is open and affirming. I believe that everyone deserves the right to be heard and given the best chance to make a life worth living. I use a client centered, humanistic approach. I also use skills related to Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I use the client centered approach along with the DBT and CBT skills so that treatment is always tailored to you and what you believe is most important.
It can be difficult and overwhelming to reach out for help, and I am so hopeful that you have made this decision for yourself and your future. If you feel like this would be a good fit for you and your treatment I would be honored to take this journey with you!
I can't wait to hear from you!

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

She's the best therapist I've ever had she's wonderful I want to keep her for the rest of my life until the day I die
She seems awesome so far. I now believe because of her I can scratch enough to get another month of therapy. It's hard but worth every penny
Always really nice and supportive. Strict when needs to be, but always makes sure that it's me who is strict on myself when needed.
I experienced a traumatic loss and I was struggling to process what had happened and how to control my emotions and move forward. Jamie helped me by first, acknowledging that what I was experiencing was not only common, but valid. Secondly, Jamie helped me to realize that while I can't control many things around me, I can control how I respond and I've now learned techniques to determine whether my response will be appropriate or not. While I still struggle with grief and it will never go away, I'm much better equipped to deal with situations as they arise and I can confidently do things that seemed impossible after the sudden death of my partner.
Jamie has been super amazing in our sessions would highly recommend her to everyone i know.
She's been an awesome therapist and I am glad I have her
Jamie is so kind and supportive, she is the second therapist I tried on better help and works so well for me. her messages are so nice and supportive every day, and she is just great.
Absolutely Wonderful to talk to, very understanding. Not judgemental helps me feel like I can talk about traumatic experiences without being interrogated.
Navigating my grief journey has been difficult, but without Jamie's help it would've been much more difficult. I feel like I'm making progress that I never could have reached on my own and healing is happening much faster than what would have happened on it's own.
It’s been a pleasure having Jamie as my first ever therapist! She always made sure to make me feel comfortable with speaking my truths. Always asked the right questions that I hadn’t thought about myself. I really appreciate her help in my journey.
While I have only been working with Jamie for a short while, she is very attentive to our discussions. She shares engaging worksheets that make me really think about the answers that I am giving and force me to be critical of myself. I look forward to our discussions and meetings.
Ive been working w Jamie for about 7 months and she has been great.
Jamie is very helpful, thoughtful and wise. She has helped me grow in the about 6 months I've been talking to her. I really enjoy our conversations. She makes you think about yourself and what is best for yourself and how you can help yourself as well. She's great.
She is outstanding and wonderful and understands everything I'm going through I love having her as my therapist she's the greatest I want to keep her as my therapist ❤️
I have only been working with Jaime for a couple of weeks but the guidance and insight she has given has been transformational!
Jamie is fantastic. We've been working together a long time now, but she always treats all of my concerns with that same positive regard and understanding. Even when I seem to repeat cycles or need to learn lessons many times over, she supports me through it. I'm so grateful for her support!
She afantastic at listening and making sure that your issues are heard and gives you ways you can try to work through them. She also doesn't just give you advice, she makes you think for yourself and how you personally can help yourself which is nice
She was amazing and had a great way of calming my thoughts and getting to the bottom of things. She also was amazing at helping me to find achievable solutions and coping strategies. Highly recommend!
She's really good I like her she's the best
I have had a lot of support, and she validated my feelings.
Really takes time to work with me and encourages me to explore deeper.
While Jamie works through Chat only, she makes sure to make herself very visible and available if in the event you need to connect. I was skeptical at first whether this would be feasible, but now coming into my second session, and having passed a national holiday week, I can confidently say that the chat sessions and check in support works. the frequency helps me keep in mind my learnings from the previous week, and helps maintain items I want to talk about. I am grateful to Jamie for making herself visible and accessible even just by messaging.
I so appreciate Jamie’s calm and reassuring nature. She definitely brings me back down to earth when my thoughts are spiraling!
They are a really good therapist. Highly recommend.
She's been really good to me I love having her
I always feel really heard when working with Jamie she always is so kind I love the way she directs. Our conversations she is very well organized and well mannered she has been a huge help. I would feel so lost without her and even more hurt and confused.
Jamie has been wonderful to work with! The chat sessions have been incredibly helpful, and somehow Jamie knows exactly what to ask, or what to say. The worksheets that Jamie provides are also a beneficial way to keep progress happening in between the chat sessions. I feel Jamie was able to help me with the topics and struggles that I brought to the table. I would recommend Jamie to those who are looking for a compassionate therapist.
Jamie has supported me so much. She actively listens to me and helps to keep me focused on what I can change, or how I can be more in control of my own thoughts and emotions. She provides helpful tools for goal setting and has great follow-up on the big and little things. I am so grateful to Jamie!
Jamie is a master of her Profession, I am so grateful to have met her and have her in my toolbox for dealing with this crazy world and my issues.
Everything was great. I’m so grateful for the input.
She is absolutely wonderful. My experiences with therapy up until finding her were sub-par. But Jamie is supportive, kind, she encourages responsibility and accountability while offering a reminder to focus on self care.
Jamie sent me what I thought to be a boilerplate introduction at the end of which saying she is incapable of doing video sessions. I have no interest in texting with a therapist. Please specify to us, those in need, the types of interactions available with each therapist. Had I known she was only available via text, I never would have connected with her.
She’s super nice and listens to my concerns and i feel like she non judgmental
She's super supportive and always listens to every detail of what you say. Always tries to deescalate a situation and making you think forward of consequences
So far my interaction with Jamie has been pleasant and initiated some good self introspection. *my finger slipped on the first survey question and meant to hit the highest ranked option.
Jamie is incredible. Period. She makes therapy approachable and comfortable. She knows how to get the root of problems and never lets you feel like you're on your own. Did I mention how incredible she is?
Jamie is amazing and she has helped me so much! Even if I don't respond to some of her messages right away, she is still always checking in with me and helping me get through the day!
I've been working with Jamie for almost a year now and appreciate her kindness, motivational messages, and her overall therapeutic techniques. She takes many different avenues and uses a vast amount of resources to explain complex concepts that involve emotions such as CBT. She also actively tries to make this online format as differential as possible by switching between live chats, video messages, and voice recordings. I appreciate her and have been positively impacted by doing therapy with her!
Jamie is so caring and attentive. She provides both general ideas for my mental health self-care, but also individualized techniques and comments to really treat my needs and underlying challenges. I appreciate how down-to-earth she is. Thank you, Jamie, for being such a constant and positive presence for me!
Super friendly, easy to talk to and always supports whatever it is you need to talk about. I enjoy having her as my therapist! She always checks in on previous week's progress to see how you're doing too
Jamie is one of the best therapists I have had on Better Help. She listens to me, offers not only support but advice, and I feel like I can truly go to her for anything. Plus I love the little messages she sends every other day. It’s a small reminder that she is still here
She's an amazing counselor who understands you and tries to help in different ways. She'll turn a problem or concern into something to think about and make it a better change for you
Jamie is caring, compassionate and helpful in every aspect. She is great at getting to the root of issues without anyone (I.e. me) feeling accused, wrong or slighted. It's all in the spirit of moving forward.
Jamie has been a rock to me through some really difficult times. I really appreciate how she keeps me on track with my objectives, but is so understanding when I’m just trying to make it through the week and I need someone to lean on a little bit.
Jamie Finkelstein has been wonderful to have on my smartphone. She gets back to you in a timely manner, many times within 30 minutes - 1 hour, and she addresses all of your concerns when she does so. I usually use this time to talk about family conflicts and life struggles (as those are my primary concerns right now). I also schedule 45 minute weekly meetings with Jamie and those have been extremely helpful. Jamie Finkelstein is a great therapist. She supports you and listens to you, takes it all in, and then shares her wisdom and techniques for getting out on the other side of whatever is happening in your life.
At first I was really hesitant signing up for Better Help but after speaking with Jamie it shows how genuine she is. She listens & analysis what you say in the best possible way. Jamie is amazing at responding quickly & encourages you to reach out. As someone with severe social anxiety I find it really easy to communicate with Jaime! Highly recommend!
I feel like she is easy to talk to and when I’m happy and doing well you can tell she’s happy for me which is really nice
Jamie is an amazing !
Jamie has done a great job in understanding my needs and providing tools that I can use to work through these issues. She is not pushy at all and is quick to relate the things I do or talk about to the subject at hand. I would certainly recommend Jamie to anyone else.
Jamie is amazing. I've worked with several counselors in the past, and she is the best. Seriously.
Jamie is very insightful and a great listener. She processes the information I give to her and gives me exceptionally helpful advice and ways to deal with the things that come my way.
Jamie is wonderful, caring, understanding, supportive, but also gets to the heart of things and ins;t afraid to be brutally honest when she needs to be. If you're willing to put in the work, she'll be right there with you with support along the way.
Jamie has helped me with so many challenges in my life, she is always present with me, challenges me, supports me and guides me to better understand how I can navigate the world around me and create the life that is best for ME. I am so grateful for her!
Jamie is a great counselor who is very diligent about helping you stick to your goals and holding you accountable for your own progress. She is responsive, encouraging, and focused on moving forward rather than dwelling on the past!
Jamie has been a great help in helping me re frame my thoughts. I also am not the best at responding and she does a good job of checking in on me which has helped with making progress.
Jamie is fantastic! She helps set goals, focus on moving forward, and providing helpful resources. I always feel better after I message with her! Highly recommend :)
She definitely tries to understand the situation and how to best approach it. She's very nice and understanding. I haven't had my actual session yet but I feel like she's a really good fit for me. I'd definitely recommend her.
Jamie has been an important part of my self care in 2020 and into 2021. This has been an incredibly stressful year for me and having someone I can work with on coping methods etc while staying home and safe from COVID has been so valuable.
Jamie Finkelstein is an amazing help. She makes me feel valued and heard. I appreciate all that she has done already for me. Thank you for everything!
Jamie is an incredibly talented therapist and mentor. She is quick to focus on whatever topic I feel needs to be addressed and does not push or pressure me to get too deep into topics I don't want to discuss. Jamie is kind, thoughtful, and intentional in her methodologies. As someone who is starting school to get my own M.A/S in Mental Health Counseling, Jamie has been a great inspiration to complete my degree and make positive impacts on those around me. I would highly recommend Jamie to any person seeking therapy as she is flexible to meet the needs of most clients.
Jamie is very caring and thoughtful. She’s not overbearing in how she tries to help, but rather listens and asks questions that have helped me become more aware of my actions overall.
Jamie is amazing. She has given me so many tools to manage my anxiety, and I am able to put those to use in my life to feel more comfortable and confident navigating life's challenges
Jamie is very kind and understanding. She encourages me to take ownership of my therapy by giving me small tasks to do every week or day. She checks in frequently and I really feel like she's always there for me.
Jamie does an excellent job of creating the space I need to work through the mess both inside my mind and in my environment and helps to put names and labels to my emotions and actions and reactions. Very beneficial and understanding. She helps hold me accountable in my day-to-day living when I need it and allows space when I don't. Thank you, Jamie.
Jamie has helped me parse through many issues that I have been acting. They are prompt and helpful in their responses and I have enjoyed working with them.
Jamie has already helped me so much so far! I’ve just been feeling stuck in some bad habits and she has taught me a lot of skills to help distract me from my negative thoughts and not let them weigh me down.
Jamie has been so, so wonderful. I was hesitant about BetterHelp but I’ve really enjoyed every single conversation that I have had with Jamie. She helps me think about things in ways I never would have. I enjoy my sessions with her a ton.
Jamie is an absolutely lovely human being with a bright spirit and a sharp mind. She's absolutely emotionally in tune with whatever you're dealing with, and I'd highly recommend her <3
