Hello! I'm grateful you are here! You have already taken the biggest step in creating change and I am honored to be a part of the journey alongside you. As a psychotherapist, I believe it is crucial in creating ways to find healing as quickly as possible, while recognizing that therapy also takes time and commitment.

So, with that said, here is the short version about my style: I am a very active therapist that will dive in deep with you so you can get the most from our sessions. I am not a "sit back and just listen" kind of therapist. While I recognize and honor that there will be a time for this, and I will absolutely hold space for you when it is what is needed, I am a very involved clinician. You came here to do the work, so let's not waste your time!

My schedule isn't posted as I try to work around my clients schedule as much as I am able, so reach out and see if our schedules align!

Below is the long version about me and my approach if you feel like it would be helpful to know more:

Many have described my approach to psychotherapy as being a fine balance between holistically non-traditional with equal parts of evidence-based methods. Therefore, I incorporate different ways of assisting you. Having alternatives, like texting or a phone call, may be just what is needed to feel comfortable and engage in the therapeutic process.

This is where I hope to be your guide and walk along your journey with you. You are your own expert and as you learn about yourself, I will incorporate different methods to assist you on your path. I use a client-centered, strengths based approach in identifying the positive aspects that already exist within you. While I incorporate the mind, body, and spirit in our work together, know that this is based upon your belief systems and you guide how we navigate your path. My goal is to create a supportive space while you work towards achieving your goals through personal growth and self-discovery. .

As for my education, I received a Bachelor's of Social Work in 2007 and a Master's of Social Work in 2016, both from Colorado State University. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the State of Colorado, a Life Coach, as well as a Registered Yoga Instructor.

My professional experience began in 2004, working in a residential facility with at-risk youth and continued through 2016 working with children/adolescents/teens, families, and couples in different capacities both for the state, county, and local non-profits. Since 2017, I have been in Private Practice and contract with local agencies to provide therapy. I draw from my experiences in all fields to foster an environment of non-judgement and understanding.

I am grateful you have taken the time to begin your journey to healing, and I look forward to working with you along your path!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I have done therapy before and have had great counsellors. However, I think Jessica is the best counsellor I have had. She provides me with exactly what I need whatever it may be. She listens and respects my very strict boundaries that most counsellors have tried to push. It has been very easy to build a relationship with her and in just a few short weeks, I have learned so many different tools that are beneficial to me. This is the most I have learned in any therapy. She has helped me regain hope in myself and in healing. If you are matched with Jessica, definitely stick with her!!
