I am here to support you with the challenges that you are experiencing at this time. I will guide you through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness techniques, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and other creative approaches that I gained in my Counseling and Art Therapy graduate program at University of Illinois at Chicago. For over 15 years I have worked with families and adults individually and in groups in a variety of settings; including day treatment and residential treatment programs, a children's hospital, corrections, community mental health, schools and home-based treatment. I provide trauma-informed care and address issues surrounding anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationships, parenting, life transitions, domestic abuse and healthy coping skills. Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Alisa has been wonderful! She responds in a timely manner, she reached out to me to check-in. She takes my concerns seriously and works to help me through them. She has been great!
Alisa’s experience, knowledge and approach to therapy is both supportive and thought-provoking. She doesn't just listen, she hears what is being said and pays attention to how all your pieces of the puzzle come together. That plus her personal touch sending positive and supportive messages, in-between sessions, makes you feel valued and not just a time and date on a calendar.
I have appreciated Alisa and how she has and is helping me put back the pieces. I have been dealing with a death in the family; Alisa is understanding and patience with me and my situation.
Alisa is incredibly caring. She is attentive and provides support and advice on the various topics I discuss with her. I look forward to talking with her every week. I highly recommend her.

I always thing therapy is a good idea, but Betterhelp has made it so much easier. it is not something I dread to do after a long work day. I also love Alisa and think she is so helpful and insightful. I appreciate that she hears me and supports me but helps me move forward .
