More about Jillian

  • 3 years' experience
  • Female
  • LCSW, LIMHP, LICSW

Hello! I am a licensed clinical social worker who lives in Denver. I spend my free time skiing, hanging with my people, or reading a good book! My mission for providing therapy is simple; I believe in every person's ability to experience healing, growth, and the ability to thrive amidst the challenges of life. I am a strong believer that healing happens through relationship, and I greatly value the therapeutic relationship in my work. During the incredibly isolating experience of the pandemic, therapy offers an open space to connect deeply with others and to journey together as we navigate the challenges and explore areas that need to be healed.

I provide supportive, relational, and strengths-based therapy that facilitates healing and growth. One of my greatest strengths in therapy is that I’m someone who sees things from different perspectives. When it comes to therapy, gaining different perspectives is essential to growth. I believe that more empathy and compassion towards ourselves and others can change how we experience with the world around us. My expertise in counseling is in issues related to grief/loss, trauma, anxiety and depression, and relationships, but I am happy to journey alongside you and navigate your healing process with you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
