I love that Amy gives work sheets as well as chat and video option. She is very in-depth and the multiple options she provides give an opportunity to self reflect, which I find personally very helpful. She takes the time to understand your background and concerns, as well as explaining her background and methods as soon as she matches with you. I really enjoyed working with Amy.

I am a professional counselor licensed in Connecticut with over 15 years of experience. I have worked with individuals who have dealt with a wide range of concerns such as low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and problems with communication. I have also worked with individuals who have experienced trauma. I believe that building a therapeutic relationship based on trust and effective communication is key to successful treatment. I work with individuals to promote self-reflection to process their past and to define their present and future. I want to encourage growth within a healthy and safe environment. I currently only offer live sessions between the hours of 10a-2:30pm Mon, Tue, Thurs.
I work with individuals using a variety of treatment approaches including cognitive-behavioral, client centered, and expressive therapies. It is important to meet each client where they are at and I will tailor this experience to fit your needs. I believe I am a good listener and I value the importance of taking time to get to know someone. I want to give individuals a place to be authentic without the fear of judgement.
I want you to have a positive experience in therapy as I know it is not always easy to take the first step. If you are ready to work towards a brighter future then I am here to help. I look forward to working with you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I love my sessions with Amy, but Better Help itself is becoming too expensive for me and I do not seem to be getting any financial aid anymore.
Amy is a very good listener and always asks the right questions when I need them.
Amy is always understanding, responds quickly, and sends amazing coping tips as well as self care tips to use that really help.
Love Amy! She understands me!
The session went well excited to have more.
She is very flexible, and wants to shape her style to fit your needs anyway she can. She is very patient and tries to make the setting as comfortable as possible. She gives out suggestions and advice anyway she can. I couldn’t recommend her enough.
Amy is very patient and she set all the groundwork to make sure she knows all there is to know about me before offering me solutions.
Amy is always quick to respond. The online counseling is so convenient and I am getting so much out of it. It forces me to journal and I then refocus on the important things rather than the small obstacles I face daily. Amy is caring and Compassionate as well! - Liz
Extremely helpful. I’ve had social anxiety for a long time and Amy has walked me through many realizations about myself that are helping me finally address what is perhaps the most significant problem in my life in a healthy and helpful way.
amazing!
Amy has been amazing during these trying times. I have been experiencing anxiety around work and Covid and she is helping me make changes in myself and my life to relieve this stress.
I haven’t been working with Amy very long yet, but she’s great! She knows how to handle different topics, she has a lot of experience and will not make you feel bad about what you’re going through. She’s amazing, I highly recommend Amy
