She has been a very attentive listener and an active participant in our discussions while still allowing me to complete thoughts entirely. It really feels like she cares about helping me and I don't feel judged at all.

Hey!

My name is Martha Fenimore and I have enjoyed working as a licensed therapist for about 20 years. Having been educated

with a Social Work background has taught me how to see every person as an individual who is influenced by family, work,

sexuality, health, stage of life, finances, and social supports, to name a few. Identifying these influences helps both of us

better understand the reason for your coming to therapy and possible obstacles getting in your way.

In my career as a therapist, I have worked with a variety of individual, families, and groups. We have tackled numerous

subjects including self-esteem, sexuality, trauma, family of origin influences, relationships, depression, anxiety, career

development, goal clarification, etc. I enjoy helping clients identify their healthy coping skills and teaching them new ones.

My clients describe me as a good listener who is knowledgeable, encouraging, and non-judgmental.

If I am the kind of therapist you are looking for, please feel free to contact me at any time. I check my emails throughout the

day and will respond to you as soon as I am able. Please be aware that I do not go by the Better Help schedule, so give me

possible times you are available and I'll pick something good for us both.

Thank-you for your consideration. Martha Fenimore, LCSW

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Martha is an amazing therapist. She made me feel so understood and listened to. She let me open up at the pace I wanted to, and was really understanding of my background. And she is such a great listener. Even when I didn’t know how to formulate my thoughts, she helped me put everything together and align my personal goals. She made me feel proud of small successes just as much as big ones. I felt like I always had someone rooting for me. After every session I’ve had with her, I felt so much relief. I would definitely recommend her!

Martha is a very talented therapist. I first became her client about 10 months ago, and she helped me work out some various issues in my life. I went on my way, and have been reading some self-help books myself, and realized there are some things that hit home with me that I would like to talk about, so they are not issues forever. I decided to work on this with a therapist, and luckily, Martha was available! I look forward to working on these new things with her. Bottom Line: Sign up for counseling with Martha if you are interested in someone who will listen to you, take time out of their day for you, respond to your messages in under 24 hours, put effort in to understanding you as a person, and give you tools and resources outside of therapy, that are designed to help you along the way. Martha is the key to helping you overcome your issues!

I've been enjoying my time with Martha. She takes time to listen and provide feedback without feeling too invasive, she lets me open up in the pace I want to and provides me with appropriate coping mechanisms. She helps using the prompts to guide the conversation and sources/evidence to why I behave a certain way. Martha's been great and helpful and would highly recommend her.

I live a very unpredictable lifestyle due to being a waiter, but Martha always seems to have time for me and my moans and groans. She's human, something I haven't found in a lot of therapists in the past and I feel as though someone finally gets me. I've not been using this service for long, but it's so nice to feel as though someone is genuinely on your side.

C.O.·Oct 2020

She’s is a great listener, give me the advice that I need to hear but isn’t harsh. Very kind and caring.

N.I.·Oct 2019

Martha is really patient and understanding. Speaking with her felt like someone was really listening to what I had to say and when I felt like I wasn't sure what words to use to describe how I felt, she kind of knew exactly what I meant. It's been a pretty positive first experience with counseling for me.

J.E.·Oct 2018

T.A.·Oct 2018

I LOVE MARTHA. She is so kind and understanding. She makes me laugh and always knows just what to say. She responds to everything I say, happy or sad. There's been times where her advice makes all of my anxieties at the time disappear. It's nice to feel like there's somebody on my side for once.
