Hello, Welcome! My name is Daisy Roman, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with more than 20 years of experience. I practiced as a PreK-12 Nationally Certified School Counselor for over 25 years, and a Nationally Certified Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK). I Earned my Counseling and psychology degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA complementing this degree with a Faith Based Clinical coursework from the Liberty University, in Lynchburg Virginia.

I have been in practice for over 30 years as a professional counselor. My professional experiences include, both, individual and family counseling while utilizing various theories and methods independently tailored to you as the client, such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Faith Based Therapy, Motivational interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Brief Strategic Family Therapy.

I have a holistic approach to explore beliefs, thoughts, emotions, and patterns of behavior affecting daily decisions and responsibilities. As a psychotherapist, I understand that mental health therapy is a collaboration between the client and the therapist, hence, it is within the client's inner strength where the key to healing is discovered. I am here to guide, encourage, and motivate you with the hope to address your needs in the areas such as: Depression, Anxiety, Anger Management, Grief and Loss, Parenting Concerns, Conflicting Relationships, Post Trauma, and Codependent issues.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
