More about Carmen

I have been a Psychotherapist for the past 29 years, I consider myself "seasoned" and not old. My favorite saying is "Trust the Process". I am Hispanic and Bilingual, I treat everyone with the upmost respect and like for you to feel comfortable as it will be easy to talk about what is happening. I specialize in Individuals, couples, Substance abuse and end of life. I sometimes say it gets worse before it gets better, as we have to deal with the difficult issues we have swept under the rug in order to be able to move forward and see things from a different perspective. Mindfulness, CBT, Solution focused therapy.
I specialize in CBT and solution-focused therapy, Mindfulness, but more than anything, I'm just an enthusiastic and down-to-earth person who wants to help you feel better, trust the process and we will work together.
If your shy, do not know what to expect, and ashamed of talking about what is going on, we will go slow, and work on making you comfortable and explain the process and what to expect.... we can work together so as you may feel comfortable and be able to work on achieving your goals... Trust the Process.....
I look forward to working with you.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

She has been great! I always look forward to our talks!
Carmen has helped me process, regulate and cope with life so much better since starting counseling with her only a few months ago. I love that I can messager her if I feel I am starting to spin. Carmen has been able to squeezee me into her day so I can video chat before my spin get out of control.
Carmen is understanding and empathetic. She’s almost always on time and opens my next appointment for me in a timely fashion. She makes me feel heard and helps me to problem solve. She’s a great family based counsellor.

Excellent counsellor. Possibly the best I’ve ever had.
Amazing listener. I feel like I'm talking to a friend rather than a therapist. She makes it easy to vent and access and get a grip on my life!
Carmen just gets me. She has approached therapy with me in a playful and unorthodox way and talking with her feels like a weight has been lifted.
