I am a licensed mental health counselor in Arizona, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Utah. I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with an Educational Specialist degree in Mental Health Counseling. I also earned a Master's of Art from Roosevelt University. I have experience working with youth and their families as well as adults. The theoretical framework that I usually draw from is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. I also apply Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing Techniques as needed. I address trauma, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, interpersonal skills, self-esteem, anger, problem-solving, and decision-making. I also have experience with parent management training and substance abuse. Chinyere (Chin as she was introduced to me) is the best therapist I have found in my adult life. I have been seeing her for almost a year and it feels like I’m having a weekly chat with a friend about things and she has the greatest methods to guide myself through the process. I am someone with a complex traumatic childhood and have a lot of present life unavoidable daily stressors. Chin has helped me develop skills I wasn’t privileged with developing as a child as an adult functioning in real time life. I have worked with Chinyere Tunsil for quite awhile now and I am 64 and worked w several other therapists on here and out there. She is very very good and makes you feel heard and cared for. She really cares about the people she works with. It is just a fact.
