More about Rhonda

I have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over ten years. I have worked with various groups from families, individuals, incarcerated individuals, court ordered family education and I have worked extensively with end of life concerns.

I like to take a holistic approach to therapy. Many times there are several layers to what may seem like a one layer concern. I like to match the type of therapy to the client. Preferred theories are cognitive behavioral and interlaced with rational emotive behavioral theories and behavior modification.

I enjoy building a mutually respectful relationship and have been told I bring a warmth and true concern to the client/therapist connection. Every person and situation is unique and needs to be treated that way as a one size fits all program will not provide optimal results.

I will work with you to find the best way to address your concerns and tailor a plan with steps along the way that we may both see and know we are continuing along the correct path.

I look forward to meeting you and working together to achieve your goals.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions. Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Rhonda has been so professional, kind, supportive, accessible, and a constant in my recovery during and after the PTSD-like issues I was facing with caring for COVID patients. I really appreciate her and am grateful to have been matched up with a wonderful therapist.

Rhonda has offered some great tips to help me stop and think about why I'm feeling certain ways. She really listens and takes notes so that she can address concerns that she hears while I'm talking. She definitely comes prepared to our sessions having reviewed her notes. She's remembered names of people in my life that I have mentioned during our sessions (and I've thrown a lot at her in a short period of time!) which makes communicating so much easier when you can use a person's name and not just their relationship to you.

I’m not used to having someone else focus on my health and well being. Rhonda does just that. From the start, I connected with her and that has so much value! Better help matched her to me and my needs and took the hard search out of the picture for me. Nicely done!
