I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) in the state of Florida. I am very experienced in the field of Gerontology, Aging, Care Management and working with Adults who are dealing with grief and loss, I have spent my entire professional career thus far helping adult's, seniors and families who are trying to adjust to grief, medical impairment, Dementia related conditions and anxiety and depression relating to same.

Additionally, I am very experienced in Senior Living, home safety, somatic preoccupation, adjustment disorders and other difficulties seniors face throughout the aging process. A seniors need for autonomy and independence is paramount while at the same time maintaining their health, safety and wellbeing. My approach is solution focused while also embracing a cognitive behavioral approach to therapy. For Seniors with Dementia or other cognitive impairment, I provide testing, verbal and visual cueing techniques as well as supportive intervention, family therapy and caregiver counseling and support.

In addition to my expertise working with seniors, I am experienced in helping adult's who are experiencing grief and loss; whether from divorce, death or estrangement. Sometimes these circumstances cause anxiety, depression, anger, sadness, guilt or other feelings relating to loss of a loved one. Through supportive intervention, cognitive behavioral therapy and/or education, I work with you to reduce grief symptoms and adjustment to your current life situation.

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
