I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor in Georgia. I have been practicing counseling for 21 years, working with children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds. I have worked in non-profit, school, and private practice settings. I have provided support to blended families, individuals dealing with loss and grief, and many other life stressors. I also have experience working with individuals managing college and career transitions.

I believe that life is a journey. Each of us is on our own individual journeys, and sometimes that path can be overwhelming. Sometimes we run into a barrier on our way and need some additional support. I know and understand how life can bring us unforeseen challenges. My goal is to create a safe and non-judgmental environment to encourage you to feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings. The most important aspect of my work with you is building a positive therapeutic relationship built on dignity, trust, and respect.

I take a holistic approach to counseling. My theoretical approaches incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. I use these approaches as a guideline to work with you and to develop a unique plan to meet your needs. I will also provide you with psychoeducational resources to help you outside of our sessions.

I am here to help you through this time. I am looking forward to working with you and helping you identify your next steps.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
