Life is complex and often messy. We all feel burdened, alone, or overwhelmed from time to time. We all deserve and have the ability to be happy and healthy. I believe it is my job to empower people and help individual’s thrive in their current environment. I have a long history of working closely with individuals in crisis. What I have learned from my experience is that people have a misconception of therapy and believe it is for “others.” I have observed that people routinely settle for less and will remain in an unhealthy situation rather than seek guidance. I love being a therapist and working with a diverse population.
I am passionate about assisting you or your loved ones to be able to recognize strengths and work towards positive growth. I would describe my therapy style as Person Centered with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have found my approach to be effective in helping clients improve by exploring their lives in a supportive environment.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

He is AWESOMENESS
Working with Mark has been a wonderful experience. He is direct and blunt but he is also caring and supportive. He listens and understands but challenges you with a different perspective. I always felt like I had someone on my side while I was here. I would recommend working with Mark to anyone looking for a helping hand.
What I like the most about Mark is that he is not afraid to confront me, in a respectful manner. Too many therapists have given me just "tea and sympathy," agreed too much and have offered no real guidance. Mark also interacts. I've had therapists that just listen and listen but offer no feedback.
Great expertise. Talking to and participating in sent activities are invaluable. Thanks for leading me in the right direction after I decided to heal emotionally.
He is an alright fella. Lol. Just kidding Mark. :) highly recommended
Mark helped me regain control over my life. He really knows his stuff and with encouragement, support and a good few laughs he pulled me out from my lowest point. I believe in myself more than I ever have before and can not thank Mark enough. I no longer suggest a therapist to friends, I tell them they need Mark!
Mark is amazing! He listens well, feels like I'm talking to a friend. He also applies solutions immediately and is just deeply kind. 1000/10 would recommend. Thanks Mark!
Simply the best!
Mark is understanding and very relatable. I struggle opening up and Mark makes it feel like you are speaking to an old friend off the bat. He’s really helping me piece my life back together.
Mark listens well and provides solutions that I can apply immediately. He is encouraging and points out my strengths to assist me with remembering my self worth.
I've had Mark as my counselor for over a year now. There aren't words to describe the impact he's had on my life, my confidence, my relationships, and my sense of self. He's professional, knowledgeable, relatable, personable. I can't rate him highly enough. From the bottom of my heart, Mark, thank you.
Mark is great therapist. He helped me get through an incredibly difficult time in my life and create stability of mind and heart. He also helped me process traumatic experiences and helped me navigate difficult family relationships and has helped bring my relationship with my significant other to a healthy, communicative, and intimate space. I highly recommend mark to anyone.
Mark is personally, Profesional and knowledgeable. As a provider of mental health services, I trust his feedback and insight.
All is going well for me in our talks. Mark has given imput on other ways to deal with people I have issues with
Mark did help me a lot. He takes the time to understand my challenges and delivers interesting insights as well as ready-to-go measures. I especially like to highlight that he is very flexible for setting up meetings, e.g. having long meetings, or more but shorter meetings or very short syncs. In all in all he is very competent and service-oriented. Highly Recommended.
Mark Sterling is hands down the best therapist that I’ve ever had. He is caring, compassionate and understanding but more than that, he’s knowledgeable and provides me with real solutions that work. I can truly say that Mark has saved my life and changed it for the better. I highly recommend Mark as a therapist.
Great so far!
Very easy to talk to.
He is a supportive counselor. Totally empathetic.
I have throughly enjoyed working with Mark and we have grown our relationship to a positive position where we both recognise the others point of view. I trust Mark to speak truthfully and be honest. Mark is happy to let you flow as well as prompt the conversation. I would reccomend his style for those who aren't sure.
Great knowledge and experience with love and relationships so far I love talking to him and getting feedback.
Mark is very effective in his ability to stabilize one’s thoughts and bring wisdom to any scenario. I am grateful for how much he helped me during a tough mental episode.
Right now he is very available when I need to talk and response very quickly.
I had seen other counsellors face-to-face and doing they didn’t truly understand that though I had an immediate issue that I needed support with, they didn’t see the underlying causes. Straight away Mark understood, was supportive and could give me practical tips on how to manage and develop. I wouldn’t be where I am today if I hadn’t spoke to Mark.
It has been a great help to talk to Mark about the things I’m struggling with.
Mark is a great counselor and the best part is that he makes me feel at ease. I don’t feel judged and I feel like I have a safe space to share and best learn how to regulate my emotions.
Mark is a skilled counselor and being a therapist myself, I have confidence and trust that he is an excellent therapist. Mark has already helped me in the short time we have been working together!
Mark knows his stuff. Regardless of what you're going through or where you been in life, this guy gets it and knows how to show you the path to pulling yourself out (or in) to where you need to be. His advice is adaptive to your specific circumstance(s) and is not some "one size fits all" generalized method. Mark is obviously well gifted, experienced and educated. What are you waiting for?
I have had a great support from Mark. He is able to understand me very well and to provide me the guidance and advise I need.
I am very pleased with the service. It’s a great way to “work on yourself” for those of us who have little time to spare.
Mark's a great guy - one of the most genuine and down to earth therapists I've ever had. Definitely would recommend him to anyone looking to connect with someone who can empathize them at a real level and help guide them in the right direction. Incredibly grateful for having talked to Mark and looking forward to our continued sessions.
Mark was really helpful. He can understand your feelings and thoughts and turn every negative thing to a positive. He is accurate and is never late for a session. He asks about your week then after discussion. He suggests a new plan for the next week. Like what issues you want to deal with next? And then he puts a plan for it to discuss the week after. I will definitely recommend him and he helped me a lot.
Mark is brilliant at what he does. I like that he's really straightforward and that he speaks freely without being judgmental at all. His advice has helped me with a lot of issues that I've been struggling with. I intend to continue being counseled by Mark because I believe that it's making a positive impact in my life.
Mark has been a true Godsend to me and my life, when calling anything in my life that a month ago just would not have happened. He is exactly what I need and needed in my life to address all my current stresses. I would and will recommend him to anybody I know that is in need. Very grateful for him in my life.
I feel like I can be 100% honest with no judgement. I feel heard and understood - which is a breath of fresh air. Mark is very supportive and makes a point to focus on the positive and I feel good leaving our sessions rather than feeling low given what we talk about. I really do (and have) recommend, Mark.
Mark has been invaluable in navigating the past few weeks of my life which have been tumultuous to put it lightly. I would highly recommend him to any man going through emotional turmoil.
Mark was a wonderful therapist to me over the course of my time on BetterHelp. He met all the criteria I was searching for. He was non biased, detail oriented, and understood my needs for therapy vs. traditional therapeutic modalities. I would recommend Mark for treatment of depression, stress, and anxiety.
After changing my initial counselor I met Mark. He listened to my issues and kept notes about my case which he often referred back to which was great to see. He set clear and real objectives and helped me deal with an ongoing issue I was experiencing at the time. He was very understanding and patient in the way he spoke which made a real positive connection. Thank you so much Mark.
Mark has been a great help so far. He listens to me and continues to give me goals and things to work towards. Best therapist I’ve ever had
Mark is, in a few words, blunt, kind, humorous, and helpful. He's a man who won't bullshit you, don't expect sugar coating when you talk to him, he'll tell you how it really is. At the same time, he's gentle, proactive, and well attuned. He cares about you, and he wants to lead you down the path of betterment, he's a man of good intent. I enjoy speaking to Mark, and if you want something real, this is it.
