Hi, my name is Pamela Merritt and I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker. I’ve worked in the area of counseling and therapy for over ten years with various populations ranging from children/adolescents to teens, adults, and couples. I have both my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Social Work, and have been providing therapeutic services to various populations for 10+ years. My specialty area include Religious Trauma Therapy, Gay Affirmative Therapy, and overall Emotional Harmony. This includes managing issues from anger. depression, and anxiety to interpersonal conflict and relationship issues. I strive to create an atmosphere that is safe, non-judgemental, and respectful of each person’s humanity and individuality. My therapeutic process combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Client-Centered, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I work with each individual to customize the approach in a way that is specific to their needs.

The goal is to guide you towards reaching your optimal level of mental wellness and emotional harmony. The therapeutic journey may not be an easy one, but it’s worth it. It takes a lot of courage to commit to bettering your life, but you have taken the initiative, and that is a major first step!

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions. Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

I’ve struggled with sorting through my emotions pertaining to relationships I’ve struggled with for years! Pamela has completely eased my anxiety when it comes to these struggles and has been an amazing listening ear. I am feeling more myself and more in control again. She is amazing at what she does and I am so happy to be connected with her!

I’ve only been working with Ms. Palme for a few weeks but I can honestly say I never felt so much better after just talking to someone. She makes you feel comfortable and reassuring and wants to get to know you as a person to help you. When I return back to social media I’m definitely making sure I tell everyone about my experience so far.

I’ve had a few counselors in the past and never felt heard by them or connected to them, resulting in me ending therapy. With Pamela however, I definitely feel heard and I feel like she can relate to what I’m experiencing. I like that Pamela doesn’t sugarcoat, yet is still gentle enough in order for me to understand where I need to take a second look at things. Very professional. I would definitely recommend Pamela, and I’m so happy I’ve found a counselor that I trust.

Pamela has been a GREAT counselor! I needed clarity on my marriage and talking to her was so, so helpful. My husband chose not to get counseling with me but I still got a lot of value out of speaking to Pamela on my own. 10/10, can’t recommend her enough!
