More about Stephani

  • 26 years' experience
  • Female
  • LCSW

Hello, my name is Stephani and for over twenty-five years I have been helping others improve their emotional and mental health.

My education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, B.S.

• Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling, M.Ed.

• Master’s degree in Social Work, MSW

• Doctorate degree in Psychotherapy and Social Work, Ph.D.

• Full Licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW

I specialize in several areas and have worked with adults and teens on issues related to depression, anxiety, anger, grief, relationships, divorce, infidelity, addictive behaviors, crappy jobs, major life transitions, and clients who state they just want to be happy or live a different way. Additionally, I have worked with clientele who have experienced sexual exploitation, sexual, physical, and mental abuse, and neglect. I do not hope for people to just be survivors in their life, I want to see them THRIVE!

I work from a Rogerian perspective (complete acceptance), cognitive-behavioral, narrative, solution-focused, and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. In addition, I personalize clinical interventions to meet my client’s needs. Also, psychoeducation and mindfulness techniques are taught and practiced between sessions.

As a married, divorced, single mom for many years, and remarried mother of a 19-, 18-, and 15-year-old, I have lived! My family and I have experienced our own trying times, and we have all made it through to the other side, with a feeling of peace and being blessed. I look forward to working with my clients because it allows me to help others, and I LOVE IT when they meet their goals and I witness their sense of accomplishment and success!!! My clients report therapy helped them think differently about themselves and their life. As a result, they feel more focused, confident, and capable. These feelings cause them to change behaviors that, previously, were not working for them. Seeking therapy is a great way to take care of yourself. I hope you allow me to work with you in making significant changes that are meaningful. You have already taken the first step...keep moving forward.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions. Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
