Rachel is amazing. She truly listens and recaps what you say. I enjoy it because hearing it back from someone else’s perspective is incredibly helpful.

Reviewed February 2021

Rachel is extremely supportive and also challenges when she feels the client can handle it. That’s very helpful in a therapeutic relationship.

I really love working with Rachel. She helps me connect different issues and parts of my life that I’m not able to myself. She helps provide some clarity on issues that are confusing. She is calm and understanding and I always feel better after our conversations!

Reviewed November 2020

Rachel is extremely kind and easy to share with. I was hesitant to even take this step and seek any counseling, but Rachel makes it feel as if I’m just talking with an objective friend. She takes perspectives those close to me have never taken, so she is a breath of fresh air.

Reviewed November 2020

Rachel is an amazing listener. She is excellent at “reframing” what you present— as if you present a picture and she turns it “right side up.” She is great at drawing out the best of what you probably say when you talk to yourself.

Reviewed September 2020

Rachel has been amazing. I never once felt so heard and understood. She doesn't let me wallow, but she doesn't talk down to me when she's explaining what I'm going through or helping me label my emotions. That's really rare. Her advice is always helpful!

Reviewed September 2020

Rachel is exceptionally good at paraphrasing what I tell her. This is SO incredibly useful in a counselor because when we hear our own words back through someone else's POV, it allows us to shift perspective a wee bit. I'm SO impressed with her!

Reviewed August 2020

I am so grateful that I began this journey, and I am glad that Rachel Rivera has supported me from the very first interaction. It was important to me that I not be just validated, but challenged to find the "why"s because that's where true change exists. I'm not for short-term fixes. I don't want to waste any more of my life living for other's expectations when so much of my energy already goes to helping others. My best friends noticed how relaxed I have seemed, and I even surprised myself when I watched a video recording and noticed that I found no evidence of stress in my face, my voice, my body language... It's amazing how balance can make you whole. Thanks to Rachel, I'm not just looking for balance, I'm manifesting/creating/leveraging it.
