I am a school social worker in Michigan and have experience working in the school setting with kids for the past several years. Although, I have spent close to a decade working in the community mental health agencies working with the SPMI (Severe and persistent mental illness) working with children, adults and couples. I have experience working with children and parents focusing on PMTO (parent management training - Oregon model) and ways to encourage parents to be positive role models building on respect and safety. I have experience working with trauma, addiction personality and mood disorders. I have training in DBT, CBT, MI and am a certified EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) therapist. I provide support and validation in my therapy style. The therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest factors to change and growth, the connection is needed. I encourage others to find insight through reflection, discussion and practice. I meet you where you are at and use the time to focus on the goals and objectives that are needed for you to have a fulfilling life and a sense of wellness and a positive mental health.

I look forward to getting an opportunity to meet you and work with along side you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions. Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
