Ida is a pro at communication skills. I struggle communicating with my mom and although I’ve only had two sessions, my communication skills have grown exponentially. She supplemented our session work with helpful worksheets and activities that expedited my progress. I use the skills she’s cultivated in me to better my relationships and to resolve conflicts. Her friendly and down to earth demeanor makes it easy to discuss difficult topics. She is wonderful to work with.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I feel very at ease talking to Ida, and I feel safe to be vulnerable rather than cherry picking my answers/anecdotes to sound ‘correct’. I feel that she genuinely wants to help me, she’s so compassionate, and there’s no judgement.

Reviewed November 2023

She understands and gives circumstance from her life that relates providing a more natural way to correlate to me. She also takes a good technique to take a step back and do some more probing to see if my spouse is mad at me through my actions or a situation or person prior to interacting with me. This allows me to see if I need to do a reset of the circumstance or situation to bring about a more calm result compared to an emotionally charged one. This has helped in our communication.

Ida has been a great therapist for me for some time and I really appreciate her time, attention, and care for my day to day life. She expressed her expertise as a therapist very well and professionally through every session, and she has a fountain of knowledge that helps me reevaluate my situations and perspectives of the things in life. I find that using BetterHelp has greatly improved my life and having someone who I can be vulnerable with and sort of be a mentor for me gradually builds my confidence and reassurance that I can and will eventually overcome my personal obstacles. Mental wellbeing has been very important especially as I try to navigate through different phases of my life. With that being said, I am thankful that Ida was able to provide the support I need.

She has been great in understanding our plight in dealing with Covid, not being successful with IFV twice, moving to a place of a new residence, mom moving in, getting married, and trying to find a job. She has been patient, persistent in listening, and allowing me to cope with my mistakes to try and make up for the lack of communicating in an accepting manner my wife can understand. I know we are on the right path it is just a hard road with obstacles.
