What a nonjudgmental and yet challenging in the right ways kind of therapist. I feel her genuine concern, and the appropriate Amount of detachment to help me see things from a perspective I could not see on my own. I feel like I have a chance to be better with her help.

  • LISW

Hi! I'm a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW-S) based in Ohio. I received my Masters from the University of Cincinnati and have practiced for eleven years. I help adults with various issues, including life transitions and adjustments, relationship issues, grief and loss, anxiety and depression, by providing emotional support through a client-centered, trauma-informed approach. In July 2023, I completed my training as a certified grief educator under David Kessler, one of the world's foremost experts on loss and founder of Grief.com.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe therapy is a collaborative endeavor, and its effectiveness lies in the strength of the therapeutic relationship. My goal is to help you better understand your challenges, the dynamics of your relationships, your history, and yourself in a safe and caring environment. My treatment style is rooted in an evidenced-based/strengths-based approach utilizing cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and solution-focused techniques. At the center of my practice is a collaborative relationship with clients and the desire to support their development by encouraging self-understanding, skills development, and self-compassion.

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Kelly is empathetic, compassionate and knowledgeable. I feel so secure in our conversations, no matter if I am doing more of the talking or she is that session. Her validation in what I’m feeling and experiencing and the tools we have discussed to help continue to move forward in this journey are great. I hope everyone can have the same therapy experience that I am so far.

Kelly was the exact type of therapist i needed! She was amazing at allowing me to go at my pace while offering resources and exercises to help navigate me to my goal, which i actually exceeded! I came out with more knowledge about myself than expected, so many "Ah Hah" moments and connecting the dots through life events and experiences that have happened to me, which lead to greater understanding of self. Therapy has been a wonderful tool for me and Kelly is an exceptional therapist! Would highly recommend!
