Hi there, I am a licensed independent social worker with over 15 years of experience in the medical field. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, and chronic health issues. Prior to working in the medical field, I worked in mental health clinics and helped patients manage and overcome life crises. I also specialize in helping people get connected with community resources for basic needs such as affordable housing, food, and health insurance.
My counseling style is warm, interactive, and solution-focused. I believe that listening well and meeting people where they are at emotionally, mentally, and in all aspects is key. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your own specific needs and what you would like to achieve.
It definitely takes courage and motivation to seek help and positive change in your life. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
My practice hours are 8:30am - 2pm Monday - Friday. I usually check my messages 2-3 times each week unless it is the weekend. I would then respond to you that following Monday.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Jodi is an amazing therapist!
I love working with Jodi! She understands my needs and has helped me through a tough issue for me.
Jodi is great about providing support and touching base. She gives great suggestions and allows me to have a safe place to share and get feedback. I would definitely recommend.
Jodi and I partnered for over one year to focus on improving my quality of life, first through the context of a stressful and volatile career, eventually extrapolating this exploration to combat a negative mindset, anxiety, and dread. I couldn’t have moved through all this without her! When we began. I felt as though I had few tools in my toolbox. Now, my toolbox has many tools I use to help me in many different ways depending on the day and my mental health. It has been great to build a muscle in life that allows me to really think as out and understand my needs without guilt or shame. Jodi has always focused me on kindness and self-love, and has ideated with me through many large and small issues. I am thankful to her for her professionalism and empathy and highly recommend her!
Jodi is always attentive to my needs. Is a good listener first and has some suggestions that seem to put me at ease.
I really enjoy Jodi as my therapist. I can leave messages for her and she gets back to me in a timely manner. She is very supportive to me and leaves me messages to see how things are going with me.
She is incredible. So helpful! Can’t wait for more sessions!
Jodi has been very helpful and supportive as I work through depression, burnout and managing anxiety.
Jodi is great at listening and providing insight as well as tools to manage the challenges we face in life from setting boundaries to self care and self reflection. She has been a huge help to me.
I really like Jodi. She is professional and really hears me.
I don’t know what I would do without Jodi’s help during this difficult time. Words aren’t enough to describe how much she has helped me. She is doing Gods work. I can’t thank her enough for always listening to me and showing care and compassion for everything I share. And giving me feed back and techniques to help me work through the difficulties in life.
I have enjoyed working with Jodi. she listens to me about the several different issues i'm having trouble with. she lets me talk then she provides realistic ways for me to deal with these issues. once she pointed out that life is messy. when i'm having a problem I forget that i'm not the only person with a problem. she is right, life is messy for everybody. she has given me some tools I can use like journaling and what mindfulness is. she has recommended books that I have found useful. I like that she keeps her private life to herself. i need her professional help much more than I need her friendship. I am able to talk with her about issues that friends should never know of. I am comfortable with her and trust that she gives me her best. she is a gift from God. I needed her and through betterhelp I'm getting the help i've needed for a long , long time.
Respectful - Always considerate. Integrity - Jodi values my thoughts and feelings Service - Always responds thoughtfully Excellence - Jodi represents the best of BetterHelp Jodi RISE’s above to provide me a safe, secure, place to explore myself and gain emotional intelligence.
Jodi is a great, attentive listener, but more than that she contributes to the conversation and gives inspired advice. She’s changed my perspective on a number of behaviors and has given me tools to work things out. She makes me feel secure in showing who I am. And she has her own personality. Highly recommended.
Jodi is a great therapist and is always there when I have an issue. BetterHelp is a great way to go to therapy if you are on the fence about it. I am glad that I took the plunge and did it. I know she will always be there when I need to talk things out. I am very happy with the whole experience.
Jodie is very attentive and understanding. She has been absolutely wonderful for me.
Jodi is a wonderful listener and I feel comfortable to chat with her about a variety of concerns.
Ms. Schwartz is an amazing therapist. I suffer from an acute and active eating disorder. While this is not her area of expertise, her training has given her the skills required for this kind of treatment. I like that she doesn't pretend to know it all. If she needs to get a better grasp on a specific ED symptom, etc, she asks questions, listens closely to my responses and incorporates the information provided into my treatment plan. I hope Jodi, will pursue additional training regarding Eating Disorders, because of her natural ability to treat this devastating mental illness.
Jodi is empathetic, caring, and compassionate. She has walked me through some difficult life hurdles: moving across the country, an unexpected breakup, and challenging family dynamics. Jodi supports and encourages me to do the heavy lifting of healing while giving myself grace. She is a phenomenal therapist whom I would absolutely recommend!
Jodi is solutions focused while being warm and approachable. I would recommend her!
I like Jodi and recommend her to anyone who needs one. She is always sending a message to me if she hasn’t heard from me to see if I am ok and ask if anything is going on. I haven’t been able to have 1 on 1 sessions between going to doctors and other things but she is still very supportive.
Jodi always offers suggestions on how to handle problems that I face, she is great at listening. And has been a huge help in working through some complex life issues.
Jodi has taken me on when others have passed. She has never given up on me, even when I've given her more than enough reason to do so. She has always been there for me. I have a chronic eating disorder, which is not her area of expertise, but I find that her intuition and instincts out play the so called experts. Thank you Jodi.

Jodi has been a great listening ear. Allowing me to get things off my chest and bounce thoughts off of her giving feedback and recommendations on how to address thing going on in my life. She is great about giving perspective and things to try but also about letting me know when I should consider better boundaries

I truly don't think they know how much they have helped me and changed my life. We got to work immediately and tackled my biggest issue. It seems weird to say but I feel like a completly different person because my entire outlook on life has changed thanks to the help and information Jodi gave me!.
Jodi is amazing! She has given me the tools and the confidence to heal myself. She listens closely and validates my feelings. I’m so thankful for her. You can tell that she really enjoys and is passionate about her career to help people help themselves.
Jodi is doing what no one else has done with me. She is focusing on strategy and the present and only gets into the past when it impinges on the present. This is exactly what I need. She has an agenda and I like that. Her agenda appears to be focused on being functional and coping with life through my distorted lenses. This is exactly what I need right now.
Jodi Schwartz has been very patient and has listened very carefully to my struggles. She has been very respectful and professional. I also appreciate the podcasts and videos she shares that she feels will help. I feel the advice and worksheets she provides are useful as well and allows me to self reflect on my problems.
Jodi is empathetic and supportive. She both listens to my thoughts and provides suggestions without being overbearing.
Jodi has the understanding capabilities of what you’d hope from a therapist; similar to that of a mentor, a peer, or even that of a mother figure. It’s the sort of non-judgmental atmosphere she provides that you want to feel when you seek therapy.
She’s a great listener and she always gives me different ideas on how to achieve my goals
Jodi has helped me so much in identifying my triggers and finding coping mechanisms to deal with my anxiety better.
Jodi is amazing and I would recommend her to anyone seeking a caring and thourough therapist who will be willing to work with you to overcome trauma and any other mental health issues you may be facing.

She is great. Really nice and genuinely listens and cares about you.

Jodi is great at listening and confirming what I'm feeling. She has provided some amazing techniques to help me cope with my issues. She has helped me set goals that make me feel like I'm really making a difference in what I want to see happen in my life.
Jodi has been great at helping me sort through some difficult emotions. I would recommend her to anyone
I’m very grateful to have matched with Jodi. She provides excellent resources for those that like to do the work on fixing spiraling thoughts and working to reframe unhelpful thoughts. I like that Jodi sets goals to encourage finding solutions, works with you on what you want to accomplish, provides her knowledge + skills to improve what one may be struggling with. For years I’ve been attending therapy and the cognitive behavioral approach has been most successful. For once I feel like I’m starting to grasp the concept of my core worth and not being bothered by external factors and working on my response to things out of my control.
Jodi Schwartz really knows her stuff and its an excellent councilor. She really cares and shows support in my mental health needs.
I’m absolutely thankful for my sessions with Jodi. I’ve been stuck in finding a purpose for where I need to be in my life. With my skills based therapy, I have been able to work towards, and make steps in a direction where I want to be. Develop a direction towards a life that I am proud of. Highly encourage Jodi as someone to help develop a skills based therapy approach.
