The best!

Reviewed April 2022

Janice was the first therapist I ever had and definitely an amazing experience. She helped me not be so hard on myself, value myself, and allow myself to feel my feelings instead of holding them in. All of her tips and suggestions from journaling to book recommendations were incredibly helpful. She helped me reframe my situation and not only see things in black and white. Because of her and my choice to seek help I can finally say I’m on the road to a healthy mind and wholehearted living. I wasn’t able to continue with the counseling because I couldn’t afford it, but If I ever need it again I’ll be coming back! I’m extremely happy and thankful for my time with Janice, she’s the best!

Congratulations on taking the first step! The next step will be finding the right counselor for you.

I would like to tell you a little about myself and my experience to see if we would be a good fit. My counseling begins with positive regard and acceptance of where you are and what your experiences have been. Where we go from there will depend on what you would like to achieve. My style is warm and accepting and I have over 30 years of experience in working with youth, adults and families with a variety of concerns: depression, anxiety, self injury, alcohol addiction, co-dependent relationships, anger, broken relationships and trust, abandonment and loss, parenting issues, life stage transition, and trauma. It is my goal to create an environment that encourages healing, connection and self-acceptance. I want to help you come to terms with whatever is holding you back and feel a sense of empowerment to create the life you want to live.

My approach is strength based and holistic and includes cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral and solution focused therapy, but any clinical approaches would be based on your individual needs and preferences.

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions. Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
