Deb is amazing! She allows me to be my total self. We have productive sessions and she helps me discern my thoughts and emotions. She validates my conerns and opinions but also challenges me to see other perspectives. She helps me set realistic expectations for myself and others and can pinpoint why I'm feeling a certain way and how to explore that further . Our sessions are very comfortable and conversational rather than formal/clinical.

Thankyou for reading my profile. It is difficult to convey my work in few paragraphs. I have been counseling since 1998 when I completed my first master's degree in Counseling. I later earned a second masters in Clinical Social Work.

I understand that change is not easy and I know that no single approach to change works for everyone. With this in mind, I am willing to draw upon a number of modalities. I use techniques from mindfulness and gratitude along with traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Reality Therapy to develop a plan of growth.

I am always in partnership, working alongside the client and family as we move towards health. I believe that the client is the authority or expert with regard to their goals and needs. I follow the client's lead in developing those goals while offering my expertise in creating a successful plan. I also believe that focusing on a whole person strength-based relationship contributes to a solid base of trust and acceptance. With this solid therapeutic relationship established, the client can feel safe to be authentic and vulnerable.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Very insightful and easy to talk to! Encourages me to stay in and touch and provides me with helpful documents I can use in my relationship to help communicate what I'm going through and what I need.

Good listener, Calm, Very Nice, Likes to push you in to directions that help you grow, is very understanding of issues and emotions. Lovely woman, very motherly in essence. I like her a-lot in just a short time!

I am so grateful to have met this wonderful person through this app. The ways she helped me while I was in a dark space with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy was mind blowing and so rewarding. Much appreciated.

I honestly don't know where I would be without Deb. After a life changing event in my marriage I found her to be such a good listener which was beyond comforting to me. I seem to always benefit from her well thought out nuggets of wisdom. I appreciate her support as I navigate this next chapter in my life.

I feel really lucky to have found Deb in this platform. It has never been easy for me to connect with a therapist before, so Deb did break that bubble for me. She respects boundaries and doesn’t make a remark on anything sensitive. She is a great listener. Also I love all the worksheets she sends to me. Her approach is solely based on critical thinking and approaching a problem with your own self. She rarely influences the output which makes it so easy to be vulnerable with her.

Oct 2022

Very pleasant to speak with! I love that she is down to earth and doesn’t try to “speak down” to me. As reluctant as I was to start therapy, I feel very blessed to have found Deborah - she is more like talking to a friend, so that for the most part, it doesn’t FEEL like therapy!

Deb is fantastic and i would recomend her to anyone.

After my first session with Deborah , I felt like a huge weight I've been carrying for almost 30 years has been lifted off my shoulders. I've been feeling great and been able to manage my issues so far. She's paid attention to all the details about my life and to my journal. Deborah asked the right questions and was able to pinpoint the issues, and then given me the direction to manage my issues. She's highly recommended as a licensed therapist.

F.E.·Mar 2022

She is the best therapist I have ever had!

J.E.·Mar 2022

Deborah was exactly what I needed. I've spoken with many different therapists but have never found the right fit. Deborah is the first therapist that encourages me to think for myself and to make my own decisions instead of "offering advice" all willy nilly. Personally, as someone who is trying to embrace living authentically and someone who has struggled their entire life with having confidence in taking control of their own life and living it for them, having someone who listens and encourages and guides me to dig deeper has been exactly what I needed. She's very good at reframing things which allows me to be more comfortable and confident with my decisions - even if they don't pan out how I'd hoped or planned. Being able to cope and see things in a positive and opportunistic way is something I have lost but I want to come naturally again and I believe I will get there working with Deborah!

M.E.·Jan 2022

Deb is the right person for me right now. She understands my interesting and varied background, my religious upbringing and the scars that I still have from that, and she holds no judgement. She is perfect for me right now as I just need to be heard. I am not a newbie to therapy or self understanding.

M.O.·Jan 2022

She is great! calm, collected, and gives me a safe space to think and answer for myself!
