Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

As a 21 year old non-binary individual with a complicated life situation I was terrified of seeking therapy. I was expecting judgement, a lack of flexibility and to hear the same thing repeated back to me. I was expecting to not be taken seriously because of my age. Through my sessions with Phillis I have felt nothing but thorough support and genuine care and concern for my problems. She has been a good listener and helped me in the ways I needed help the most even when I didn't know how to ask for it. She was considerate of how I communicated and really adapted to me as a person. Through my sessions with her, I have been given the tools I need to be better on my own and I am so thoroughly happy with the care I received from her. She is amazing at what she does and my only regret with being in a place to leave counselling is missing our meetings.

I found the therapy sessions with Phillis incredibly helpful. She is reliable and helped me achieve my goals and feel better about myself. We only had a session a week for a couple of months, but her support was invaluable. She helped me set goals and follow through with them, and all along I felt safe, understood, and never judged. For me, Phillis' approach felt very warm and caring, always providing relevant responses to the life situations I brought up. Together we worked on strategies (to process or overcome things) that I found very helpful and that I will probably use for a long time ahead. I wholeheartedly recommend therapy with Phillis and will definitely come back to her if I find I'll need help again.

Struggling with low self esteem and negative body image most of my life, she’s not only helped me understand my thought process but also gave me the tools to change it. I have become a better version of myself. I apply the techniques Phillis has given me on daily basis. I cannot thank her enough. She truly helped me be more at peace with myself.
