He gets to know the person. He works to know your wants and needs. I like talking with him and it helps me to get things off my mind. He is open minded and looks at many options to help me. I like how he thinks and how he works with the not so conventional matters.
Only had a few had a few sessions with James and he has been amazing! Definitely took the fear out of therapy.

James Cameron is the only therapist that I have been able to connect with. He's able to be lighthearted and compassionate at the same time and makes me feel like he really does care. I look forward to speaking with him every week even if we don't talk about anything deep. It's just nice having him listen to me. He always ends our sessions on a high note and has always made me feel like I never want him to have to say goodbye.

JC makes me feel more comfortable than anyone else I have worked with. I think part of that is because I have never done a session with the lights on so he's never seen my face and he doesn't push me to stop this. I feel like I'm able to stay out of my head and present in our sessions because I don't have that internal commentary going on in my head (what if he can't stand looking at my face? Maybe he's secretly thinking x y, and z about how stupid I look, I think I should have worn a bag over my head...). He is compassionate and inviting, he lightens up the mood at the end of our sessions which leaves me looking forward to our next meeting instead of dreading it. I appreciate him hanging out with me and not knowing where I'm headed with my therapy. I feel like he's always on my side and I've never had that before.

JC is incredible to talk to - he makes it very easy for a first timer like me. I found him to be very understanding and calm and felt like he understood what I was trying to convey. He also helped me understand my concerns by breaking them down very well. My only qualm with JC is that I wish he had other days apart from Monday available to BetterHelp users - I.e. More flexibility in timings. I would definitely recommend JC to others.
I have been working with James for several weeks now. Like an onion, I have many layers and most make me cry, however James is really understanding and helps me navigate through my thoughts and feelings. He’s helping with my food addiction and supporting me as I relearn the “eat to live” vs “live to eat” mentality.
