Hello! My name is Danielle Diegue and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in New York. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Albany and received my master's degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. I've been working in mental health since 2017 and have had the privilege of working with a wide variety of clients from all walks of life. I have experience conducting individual, couples, and group therapy. I have worked with clients that struggled with diagnosis that ranged from anxiety/depression to schizophrenia to substance use disorders. I have also worked with clients who have struggled with stress management, self-esteem, and family/work issues. I like to take a client-center approach to therapy and I utilize different techniques including, but not limited to, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and goal setting. Ultimately my goal is to create a safe and empathic space for clients to share and work through their concerns.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

SHE IS AWESOME. Very intelligent, well-spoken, and insightful. A pleasure to speak to as well. I would recommend Danielle to anyone and everyone.
She is understanding and gives good advice.
Absolutely loved my experience with Danielle! She’s thoughtful and caring but also challenges me to grow!
Danielle has been the best therapist I have ever worked with. She is a great listener, is non-judgemental in all aspects (vocally, physically) and has really helped me progress. Her feedback and guidance has always been spot on and she is able to articulate what I'm feeling. I look forward to chatting with her every week. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for some help.
I appreciate you!
Danielle has been really helpful thus far. She's a great listener and everything about her demeanor - her responses, her body langauge, her tone, her reactions (or lack thereof) - makes me feel like she's not judging me. I've worked with other therapists, where their facial expressions make me feel like they think something of me. It's led to me being able to trust her with anything. I highly recommend Danielle to anyone looking for someone that you can trust with intimate details of your life.
Danielle has been very supportive and patient with my journey for healing. She is amazing with explaining scenarios and understanding the root of a situation. I have had a great experience with therapy and I highly recommend her; especially with new clients who have never been to therapy. Due to the wonderful experience I have had I have recommended Better Help to other friends of mine.
I needed someone to listen.. to understand my traumas & fears & Danielle is amazing with that. She recognizes my pain but she knows how to help me heal.
I've been working with Danielle for 6 months now, and she has helped me in more ways than I can count. I had a lot of bigger issues to address, but the way Danielle has helped me work through them, it's impacted the underlying issues I've had that I hadn't even identified. She listens, always has the appropriate answers/advice, and is very professional. She understands what I need out of each session and let's me decide what direction I want to take the conversation in. She is very respectful and understanding, and truly- has just helped me become a better version of myself, one that I always knew I could be.
Danielle is absolutely amazing. She is great at keeping me accountable for my mental health habits, helping me reshape my mindset regarding things that bring me anxiety, and navigate difficult life changes. Above all she is respectful, understanding, and doesn’t take life too seriously which I appreciate. I have not been able to connect with a counselor like I have with Danielle.

After searching long and hard for a therapist that was compassionate enough to make me feel safe when opening up, I finally found Danielle. She actively listens with respect. She makes compassionate suggestions. She is amazing at what she does and I always feel seen and heard under her care.
I am very grateful to have been paired with Danielle. She listens carefully to my concerns without judgement, reminds me of things I need to hear in order to treat myself without judgement as well, and provides me with valuable insight and questions for self-reflection. I appreciate her warmth and expertise.
Speaking to Danielle eased so many of my worries and anxieties. I loved how easily she was able to make sense of my thoughts. It felt like I received a virtual hug because of how comforted I was regarding my future.
Danielle takes her time listening to everything I have to say. She gives me sound advice and things to think about. Absolutely amazing.
