I am so thankful for him and the impact he has made on my quality of life.

Greetings and welcome! I’m a strong believer in synchronicity and marvel at how people find each other. I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in the State of Utah with over 34 years of experience working with diverse populations in numerous settings. I have a B.A. degree in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine, and an M.A. degree in Counseling Psychology (Transpersonal Specialization) from John F. Kennedy University in the San Francisco Bay Area. I’m also certified in Addiction Studies and Clinical Hypnotherapy. Now living in Saint George in the serene stillness of the Mojave Desert Southwest and the red rock beauty of Snow Canyon and Zion National Park. I enjoy travel, hiking, and exploring the wonders of nature.
I see myself as a guide. We embark on a journey together as I support you to travel within and discover your inner truth and birth your authentic self. This takes courage, strength, and self-compassion. Gifts that underlie our wounding in the process of healing. Learning to hear and trust our intuition and ourselves is a lifelong process. As is full creative expression. I’m interested in helping you identify what’s skillful in you and discovering and improving what’s unskillful. My nonjudgemental approach is warm and direct. I love humor and believe laughter is the best medicine. Bringing our shadow into the light reveals the falseness of fear. Let’s celebrate!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Alan, thank you so much. You have been truly a guiding force for my personal growth at home and in my workplace. Your great personality alway brightens my day when we talk and you have a great way of explaining and unpacking situations that I’ve struggled with for years. Thank you for all the support.
Alan makes me laugh out loud! He has a way of bringing levity and light to heavy subjects. I find it tremendously charming and disarming. I feel safe telling Alan things I’ve not told anyone before. Alan shined a light on the trauma in my past and that illumination has become incredibly valuable to me as I navigate the present and consider the future. Alan has given me a vocabulary to describe and define my experiences with covert narcissists. Words are powerful. They give texture and meaning to shadowy thoughts and complex feelings. I’m a better person for the time Alan and I spend together and I am forever grateful that we connected.
Alan is an insightful, no-judgement, funny, wise, compassionate therapist. He goes really fast which I really liked because I felt I got a lot out of the sessions. As someone who left the faith I was raised in, he was very helpful. He builds you up, is realistic, likes to laugh, takes things seriously, and asks good questions. He is especially good for shy people if that is something you’re worried about. He is very smart and knows his stuff - he gave really powerful lessons, invites, and insights. I also feel I can move on from his advice and work on things by myself. Gives you confidence and the support you perhaps never got.
Alan is one of the most exemplary human beings I have had the pleasure to know. He knows exactly when to ask questions and when to listen. So much positive energy, and very down to earth. I have only had a couple sessions with him so far and the advice he has given me has provided me with so much peace in my every day life. Absolutely impeccable as a therapist and a person. I'm always excited for my next session with him! -Nate
Alan has been such a pleasure to talk to every week with his positive, supportive, and enthusiastic personality. He is also a great listener by asking insightful questions that opens up the conversation to something I never even reflected on. I was impressed at how much he remembers from each session while having multiple clients. I looked forward to talking to him every week, and it was also a positive way to organize and catch up with what I achieved throughout the week. I loved how his therapy sessions did not feel like a chore, but rather a gossip session (of course a professional one) about my own life. Sessions with him felt like a 101 lesson about myself. I have ADHD and tend to rush through my life with a sense of urgency—sessions with Alan have been a mindful time to stop and reflect on where I am and what I have achieved that I often don’t give credit to. It was a true form of self-care worth every penny. Alan gave me a gentle push to support my goal of becoming a stronger self by acknowledging my emotions. My communication skills have improved drastically through understanding my emotions; I am less reactive emotion-driven and my relationships have also improved. I gained confidence through his sessions. I am graduating from my session with him because I achieved my goal for now. He made therapy a fun thing which I think is an amazing style of his. I am very happy and impressed with myself to have gotten so much out of just four months! I cannot appreciate him enough. He is a true professional that I respect a lot. You’re very lucky if there’s an opening to become his client.
Alan has changed my life. He’s the best therapist I have ever had, and I love that better help brought us together. I feel like I’m getting so much more than therapy, I’m getting enlightenment
Alan did focus in on the issues at hand. I was able to know for sure that my feeling and thought were mostly the expected feeling that would occur during any of the issues. How we deal with and react to it counts.
Amazing therapist especially for those who are recently leaving the Mormon church he has a great understanding of the church and how much pressure it can put on a person. Very supportive of whatever I want to do. The first time I've actually liked my therapist
Alan is a truly marvelous person. He cares so much about me, and is so wise and empathetic. I can tell every time we speak that he truly wants to see me become the best version of myself. He’s inspired me to take the lead in my own life, and it seems like every week, my quality of life improves.
