I am a licensed professional counselor with 14 years experience. I have worked in a variety of settings, these include a hospital setting, the school system, and community mental health. I have worked with clients of all ages with a variety of experiences to include abuse/trauma, mood disorders, relationship issues, family concerns, and self esteem.

My therapeutic approach is to provide solution focused and client centered techniques to empower clients to address day to day stressors and predicaments. I have especially enjoyed working with adolescents who face a variety of personal life challenges. I believe in treating each client with respect and compassion. I have been told I am easy to talk to and help people feel comfortable in opening up about their personal problems and concerns. I have been working with Rachel for about a year now. I started with, and continue to, battle anxiety and stress as part of my daily life. Rachel is fantastic. Over about three or four months of work, she has helped me to stop filling my head with negative self talk. Rachel is assisting me in rebuilding my relationship with myself after having many unhelpful influences on how I view myself. Rachel Young has been stability for me. I am often high functioning and do not realize when I need help from an outside source until it is often too late.
