I am a licensed professional counselor with 14 years experience. I have worked in a variety of settings, these include a hospital setting, the school system, and community mental health. I have worked with clients of all ages with a variety of experiences to include abuse/trauma, mood disorders, relationship issues, family concerns, and self esteem.
My therapeutic approach is to provide solution focused and client centered techniques to empower clients to address day to day stressors and predicaments. I have especially enjoyed working with adolescents who face a variety of personal life challenges. I believe in treating each client with respect and compassion. I have been told I am easy to talk to and help people feel comfortable in opening up about their personal problems and concerns. I will tailor each treatment plan to help individuals achieve the goals they have set for themselves.
I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

She helped me walk through a difficult journey. She help guide me to where I came out on the better side.
She such an amazing understanding therapist !
100/10!!!! She’s so kind and caring. Takes it at your pace, where most therapists would rush you into your feelings. I can’t recommend her enough!
Rachel is very easy to communicate with! She is very respectful and responsive. I look forward to working with her more.
Rachel has helped me work through intense periods of anxiety due to external stressors and internal conflict. She’s helped me grow and reflect on myself honestly and without (much) ego or negative self talk.
Rachel is awesome! She connects and offers solutions to life situations. I feel like she really cares.
Rachel is well educated and caring. Above all she is a great listener.
Rachel is an amazing therapist. She has greatly helped me improve my self confidence and my ability to stand up for myself. She doesn’t sugar coat, she tells me exactly what I need to hear.
Love Rachel!
Rachel has helped me tremendously during the last few months. I feel heard and supported and am always better prepared for my next steps after we speak.
She's nice and professional. I enjoy doing my therapy with her.
Rachel has been great! She’s good at helping me get back to doing the work. She’s a safe place to allow you the space you need so you can focus on the things you’d like to work on. She’s the perfect blend of understanding and accountability.
I enjoy Rachel for being patient but transparent. She certainly captures what you are going through and lets you lead the conversation in a safe space. I enjoy Rachel and am thankful I have her as my therapist. Thank you Rachel!
I think she's been very supportive and gives me simple goals that are working .
I love working with Rachel. Every session is something to look forward to. She’s helped me with my anxiety and depression so greatly!
Rachel Young has been my therapist for a few months now and she is great. 10/10 would recommend. She validates me and makes me feel heard and seen. She is always professional and I hope to continue seeing her for a very long time. I was matched with Rachel when I first stared using BH and I was, of course, nervous, but she was so caring and easy to talk to that we instantly clicked. Very happy to have found her.
Rachel has helped me out a lot! She was the second person I was matched with and I have been seeing her for almost a year and I went from being at one of my lowest points in a while, to getting back at it and being successful.
She is amazing in everyway. I will follow her if she ever moves to a different platform. It's because of her that I had faith in signing up my son with Teen Counseling. So...yes! If you can see her, do it! She's very knowledge, quirky, and really exhausts all resources to help you.
Rachel is fantastic! She is so easy to open up to and communicate with. I cannot imagine having any other therapist!
Rachel has been a heaven sent angel to me! She listens with compassion, helps me see from a different perspective, makes me feel heard and seen and like there is hope for recovery. I highly recommend her!
Rachel has been with me for a month. And she provides the exact kind of support I need and want. She makes me feel heard and just supported in what I'm going through without parenting me. It's very confidence building for me and I'm very thankful to have someone so empathetic and intuitive.
Rachel is awesome! I look forward to our sessions each week.
Rachel is the best! We’ve been talking for a little over a year. I have made great strides in the right direction. She really cares, responds to messages as soon as she can and goes the extra mile to make sure I’m okay. I highly recommend her.
Rachel has really helped me during a low point of my life. She is able to put things in perspective, while also continuing to validate my feelings. Overall, I have felt more empowered each time our video calls end. I thoroughly enjoy meeting with her, and I look forward to our sessions each week. Thank you Rachel!
Extremely personable and helpful in finding ways to cope and overcome my new “friend,” anxiety. I am very grateful
I believe Rachel really understands my fears & has concern for my wellbeing & making me look to the brighter side of things or at least find a little humor when life is getting the better of me. She has me dig deep to try to find something positive in my day or to do for myself. She makes a difference in how I see things.
I have been working with Rachel for about a year now. I started with, and continue to, battle anxiety and stress as part of my daily life. Rachel always listens to what I have to say and she helps me to be strong enough to help other people that I need to help. Without her I would be overly anxious, overly stressed and depressed. I know that as a fact because she helped me to alleviate those symptoms in the beginning by meeting with her weekly and just having the best face to face discussions. I was comfortable with Rachel right from the beginning . She’s very personable, easy to talk to and listens very well. She remembers things from week to week that I don’t and helps me continue working through an issue until it is actually resolved, instead of just putting it in the back of my mind. I highly recommend working with Rachel. She is very knowledgeable AND she is very kind and compassionate. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have been with Rachel for about 6 months now. She is a great therapist and has helped me through some difficult times. I have learned a lot from her.
Rachel is fantastic. Over about three or four months of work, she has helped me to stop filling my head with negative self talk. Rachel is assisting me in rebuilding my relationship with myself after having many unhelpful influences on how I view myself. She is stable, intuitive, smart, helpful, compassionate, creative, and an overall delight to speak to on a weekly basis. I always leave my sessions feeling more grounded and confident in how to walk forward with my week. Rachel helps to foster positive habits and self care and she is an amazing person.
Rachel is caring and kind while being thought provoking. I have enjoyed every visit and she has helped me tremendously.
She gave me some tips that would be very unfeasible (like leave my very young child alone in the home) when I said childcare was difficult to find. But she is a good therapist overall.
She does respond in a timely manner, I miss clicked the button. But she’s great and very easy to talk to and cares about what I’m saying like she has emotional investment which means a lot.
Love this therapist. She's understanding, great to talk to and gives sound advice. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking help.
Helpful and patient in letting me dictate my own road to mental recovery!
The areas where I put mostly agree are due to my issues not hers for the understanding my concerns because I have a hard time opening up
Rachel Young has made me feel comfortable and safe since the first session. I came to BetterHelp after seeing ads on TV. I have been stressed with life and graduate school and wanted a therapist who would understand me and help me form better habits. Rachel is fantastic and helps me to set achievable goals and improve my relationship with myself. Her sense of humor, professional expertise, and kind demeanor make it easy to look forward to sessions with her. I would recommend Rachel, and BetterHelp, to any friend or colleague.
So far, she is great. We are fairly new to working though.
Rachel Young is very kind and listens very well. I look forward to our session.
Rachel is a delight to work with. She has a thoughtful response to what you say, and works to understand you as an individual. Her guidance and advice are equally as calculated and genuine. I look forward to each of our sessions.
She’s provided me a great deal of support, understanding, encouragement, and guidance. Our sessions have equal parts humor and “realness” and through them I am learning healthy habits and gradually becoming a more successful version of myself.
Rachel listens to me and offers her expertise. She also challenges me for our next meeting which is very helpful.
She very patient and understanding
She has been wonderful helping me with anxiety and grief.
Rachel has been great and extremely kind to me. I’m glad to have matched with her
Rachel Young has been stability for me. I am often high functioning and do not realize when I need help from an outside source until it is often too late. Having Rachel there helps me begin to find a way to better myself and how to make areas that are weak, manageable again. There are still days where it is tough, but Rachel finds a way to let me talk, listen to me when I make no sense, and really sympathize, empathize, and question why I feel the way I feel. I happily recommend Rachel Young to anyone that needs someone to listen and feel like while it is difficult you are moving forward and picking up the pieces. She has a sense of humor, she lets you feel what you feel, and she can be there for you on your way to self healing/mental check ups.
Rachel has helped me through a very difficult season in life. She has been kind, available, helpful, professional, and simply a wonderful human being since we started working together. Ms. Young does an excellent job pointing out the blind spots in life, the kind of issues that truly help after you begin addressing them. Rachel is also very real. This is easily one of the top reasons I've enjoyed working with her so much.
She does a great job listening and helping understand different perspective about situations
Rachel has truly helped me get to a much better place mentally. Every week, helps me understand why I feel the way I feel
Very easy to talk to and is very relatable. She really listens and provides insight and solutions that are based on you
She was amazing! She had such a well rounded perspective on things that helped me through my issues. Highly recommend!
