Allison was my first match on BetterHelp and I believe it was the universe gifting me! I feel so grateful for her as she’s transformed my life in 5 months of weekly sessions. I got sober, got the health practices in place I spent my entire life trying to do. I have achieved so many personal goals and healed so much 20 year old trauma. I’m writing a book. I’m a seeker, so I’ve read so many books on healing, trauma, psychology, purpose, for decades. But applying my learnings often didn’t work. Now I feel really unblocked and healing old thoughts and was of being that don’t serve me anymore and have a slowly developing toolkit of being different.

When I first realised that needed help I was dreading talking about what I was struggling with because it causes me so much pain. But Allison makes me feel so supported that it’s ok if I get upset she is there to guide me. She is brilliant and I would never have got through all the things I have without her. Thank you.

Allison has been helping me work through trauma from over 2 decades ago. I’ve found her insights and guidance extremely helpful. Even very early into our sessions I had some incredible breakthroughs that I didn’t even think were possible. She’s given me the confidence that I believe in my healing journey. I’m so grateful I was connected with her and highly recommend her expertise to help you get where you need to go. I’ve done a lot of self work before going to therapy. So I was quite impressed at her wealth of knowledge in the field.

Allison has been a game changer in the way that I view therapy. I have always felt the need to keep some parts of myself private, for fear of judgement or negative repercussion and it has never allowed me to fully embrace therapy in the past. Allison's kindness and compassion from the outset made me feel comfortable enough to really open up and be honest about how I am feeling and things that are going on for me. I am eternally grateful as this is the most consistent I have ever been in therapy, ever!

Reviewed December 2021

Allison is a wonderful and very attentive person. She has helped me ease into the idea of therapy and has not pushed me to share anything I am not yet ready to. She also spends a lot of time each session on actually working through issues and tries to get to the root of the problem. I like her gentil approach especially since I and my family were apprehensive about therapy from the beginning. It is perfect for a first timer. Additionally, she is does not sugar coat things in the sense of the aspects of life that must change to see results. This is important especially for people like me who have trouble with change. She is definitely an awesome choice for those dealing with trauma who are looking to start therapy.

I've been working with Allison for a little over a month but have never once found it difficult to talk to her, and her help has already made such a difference in my headspace. For one, she's already given me the tools to tidy the space up a bit and given me a clear path through the rest of the junk. She's attentive, sympathetic but not patronising, and has done nothing but validate my experiences and support my efforts to change.
