Hello, my name is Eliza and I am a licensed professional counselor and a licensed chemical dependency counselor. I graduated from the University of Houston-Victoria with my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have experience working with adolescents and adults. I have worked with trauma survivors, addictions, depression and anxiety, developing life goals, and to generate an overall feeling of a better well-being. My goal as a therapist is to collaborate with clients in a manner that best fits their values, identity, and needs in an effort to create a trusting therapeutic relationship, mutual respect and a safe environment for people to share their stories and feel heard. I am goal oriented and use motivational interviewing to assist clients get where they want to be. My intentions are to empower clients to identify their individual strengths and build upon these skills to assist them in working toward goals, alleviating challenges and finding healing and resiliency. During the initial visit will be the opportunity to get know each other including the client’s hopes and dreams, psycho-social with an extensive history of symptoms, family history, substance use, medical history, and any other concerns the client may have.
