Hi. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in WI, and have been a therapist since 2007, when I earned my Master's Degree in Community Counseling from Mount Mary University. I have experience working with clients with a wide range of concerns including grief and loss, stress and anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, work/life balance, women's issues, and life changes. I've also helped many people who have experienced trauma or abuse.

My counseling style is warm, genuine and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My person-centered approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, mindfulness and solution focused counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to look into counseling, congrats on taking a huge step toward a more fulfilling and happy life. If you are ready, I'm here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Being a parent is HARD, and Jo Ann gets it. She is caring, empathetic, and someone I feel comfortable sharing with. I don’t feel like I have to put on a show of being “okay”; I can be real with her, which is not something I felt with other therapists I’ve seen. In our first session, she addressed my failure to benefit from therapy in the past, and told me she was determined to change that. I can assure you that she has, and I am really glad I gave therapy one more chance.

Reviewed November 2021

Jo Ann is very patient, supportive, and respectful. She always knows when I am in the middle of my thoughts, and take great care to allow me to finish my thought process and finish speaking, which is immensely helpful as I do not feel the need to rush through my thought process. During my difficult period, she has been very encouraging and a pillar of support for me.

Reviewed November 2021

Jo Ann is very intuitive and is able to quickly see what direction to lead for better healing. It didn't take long for me to feel very comfortable sharing my needs with her and her advice has been spot on. I appreciate that she is able to get out "in the weeds" in order to see the point and bring it back to the heart of the matter. Thank you Jo Ann!
