Hey there! My name is Cadie Millard (she/her/they/them), I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Minnesota. I am a self-motivated professional with ten years of social service experience, and I am passionate about providing support, guidance, and empowerment to diverse individuals facing life challenges and transitions.

I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, substance use, impulsivity, codependency, relationship issues, OCD, and ADHD. I have also helped many people who have experienced complex trauma and abuse. I am trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) which is an evidence-based therapy for Posttraumatic Stress (PTSD) and related conditions. CPT is a structured cognitive-behavioral therapy that focuses on thoughts, feelings, and how they influence behaviors. It has been very effective in helping clients recover from trauma and improve day-to-day living. Additionally, I have experience with college success strategies, career counseling, and stress management

My therapy style is nurturing and inviting to provide a safe space to process, explore, and problem solve. My therapeutic approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, solution-focused, and client-centered therapy. We will develop a therapy plan together to meet your specific goals and needs. My goal is to assist people to heal and work toward fulfilling their highest potential.

It takes strength to reach out and improve your well-being. If that is what you desire, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

She is AMAZING Helped me through job loss, anxiety and nervous wreck. Talked to me, gave me a bunch of tools to work on to clarify what I was going through and how to use them. Helped me find my calm and really appreciate her.

Reviewed February 2022

It's only been a couple of weeks since we started communicating, but it has been really helpful so far. Cadie is helping me to set goals, and have accountability for those goals -- I had tried to set goals on my own before working with Cadie, but I didn't meet them. Cadie and I talk about why haven't met goals previously, and being mindful of that is useful -- understanding underlying causes.
