Denise is a realist. She won't sugarcoat anything, and as someone with a degree in psychology, that's how you know she is good at what she does. She doesn't want to milk your time, she wants to help you get better. After roughly 8 months of working with her, I feel equipped to handle the world despite my struggles with anxiety and depression. I have much higher self esteem and I am confident in using my own voice regardless of what others think. I am so grateful for everything she has done for me and the tools that she has given me.

I feel more confident in myself since before I started therapy with Denise. She’s helped me realize just how in control I am of my life and to not be afraid to take that control.

I am a trained and certified geriatric therapist with over 10 years experience in depression, anxiety, caregiving and navigating life transition issues.I have also helped many people navigate their feelings around the challenges of chronic illnesses, pain and end of life issues.

I enjoy working with people who are not afraid to do the work and enjoy helping them to move forward and beyond the life issues that may be holding them back.

My counseling style is non-judgmental and empathic. I seek the results you desire by relying on your personal strengths and the support you may or may not have around you. I combine cognitive behavioral, narrative, goal centered therapy and motivational interviewing. I am also well versed in community resources..

It takes strength and courage to work towards a better and stronger version of yourself. Let's do it together!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

In the beginning of my therapy I explained to Denise that I was not up for reading literature and or books. She guided me on a different path of self discovery , as I have not had the chance to explore the things that I wish for myself being a caregiver for many years. In just a few sessions I feel like she is teaching me to find myself again, giving me exercises And goals to carry out. I realize I have a ways to go, however I will be continuing with Denise in the near future as I feel comfortable with her and her expertise!
