I am first and foremost a Christian, with a professional background in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). I am licensed in the state of Michigan with over 10 years experience working as an outpatient therapist in the field of Mental Health. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, adult and childhood trauma, emotional, verbal, and sexual abuse, relationship problems, parenting problems, ADHD, PTSD, and grief and loss.
My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe everyone deserves to be treated with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I utilize a Christ-focused and client-centered approach to therapy. This approach combines my experience with Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, EMDR, and Trauma Focused Therapy, all guided by Biblical principles, God's love, and my desire to help people heal and move forward in a positive direction. Therefore, I would consider it a privilege to accompany you on your journey to healing. After all, you are the expert in your life.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Kim is one of the best therapists I have ever encountered. She treats me as a friend in need of help rather than a doctor/patient relationship. I really appreciate her compassion, understanding, and wonderful advice.
