Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

I’ve been working with Lauren for a little over a year now. There has been so many ups and downs, it feels like it could have given us whiplash. But Lauren is amazing and could keep up with me. She always listens and always gives the best advice, but also gives me just enough room to help me get myself through things so I gain more independence for myself. She is awesome!

Lauren is an amazing therapist! She always listens to my concerns and tries her best to help me. She is extremely patient and she never tries to push her personal beliefs onto me, which is rare in therapy. I have found so much support in Lauren and I always feel comfortable in sharing what I am going through, even with extremely personal matters. I hope to continue to seek help from Lauren in the future!

She listens intently, gives feedback, as well as gives me tools to be successful in my mental health journey. I may dread having to bear my soul during our sessions, but I never come out of our meetings with regrets. I have always been happy, proud, and thankful to have spoken with her.

Lauren has helped me address issues that I have been struggling with for a long time. In the months that I have been working with her she has helped me find tools to cope with stress and my negative inner voice. I have experienced a tangible shift in my daily thoughts and feelings towards myself through the work we have done together. I cannot recommend her more highly.

Reviewed April 2022

Lauren has been wonderfully supportive, compassionate, and a great neutral third party to help me process things and make decisions about my own boundaries in relationships. She offers helpful insights but not in a way that leads you down a particular path. I would definitely recommend working with her.

I have never met someone who is so easy to talk to. I feel comfortable that she is not judging me so I feel like I can share more and be really honest about my feelings. She is able to support and gently nudge me in the right direction. I am so grateful I matched with her especially when I came in so nervous about therapy

I am only on my third session. But I can say that Lauren has been incredibly helpful for my depression during a challenging time in my life. What stood out most to me her empathy and ability to be relatable while also following a process to improve one’s conditions. I am grateful for the opportunity to be her patient — she has given me hope. And our sessions are a reminder that I am not alone in addressing these challenges. Thanks Lauren!
