Congratulations on taking a step to a better you! It is my desire to be a helping hand along the journey.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I have over 15 years of experience working in the behavioral health field. I have worked with various population groups over the years. I believe the client is the expert. My therapeutic approach is supportive and transformative. There is no one theory that suits every scenario. Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

EJ is an incredible therapist who helped me through one of the more difficult times in my life. She listened and had great frameworks and ideas for me, and I'm so grateful!

Reviewed February 2022

EJ is amazing. When I signed up for BetterHelp, I honest wasn’t expecting to find someone who was very knowledgeable on the specific issues I deal with, but I was very pleasantly surprised when I was matched with EJ. She’s a therapist I would have picked for myself and I will continue to see her. She kind, uplifting, empowering, she advocates for you to love and be kind to yourself, she’s no-nonsense, and she always has something helpful to say. She’s good at helping me figure things out and patient when I need it. Not only does she have extensive knowledge about many issues, but she has deep knowledge and experience working with trauma survivors and trauma related issues. When you’re trying to heal from trauma, therapists who aren’t very knowledgeable about it can actually make things worse, so meeting EJ was a blessing. I really couldn’t ask for a better therapist. She was born to do this and it shows.

Reviewed February 2022

I had a hard time engaging in therapy… until I met EJ! She is so present and engaging in our session and outside sessions. Excited to continue this journey with her.

Reviewed January 2022
