I loved Elva’s therapy style from the beginning. She has been very supportive throughout my mental health journey and a great listener. As her sessions are focused on the client and their goals, it really helped me develop greater self-awareness, be braver and make my mind an easier and safe place to be and live in.

Even after just one session with Elva, I felt like a weight lifted off my shoulders. She had great insights and helped me identify two areas where I needed to improve. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an observant and non-judgmental therapist.

Hello, the fact that you are here lets me know that you are making a commitment to your mental wellness. I would be honored to support you on your journey. Before you choose me I want to tell you some things about myself. Research has shown that when a person is able to connect and build a good therapeutic relationship with their counselor, it is a greater chance that the client will stay committed to the process and accomplish the therapy goals.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia. I graduated in 2016 with a master’s degree in professional counseling. I have worked in the capacity of a therapist for 5 years. Before becoming a therapist, I trained and worked as a energy-based life coach for over 10 years. I have experience working with a diverse group of clients overcoming an array of challenges. I specialize in working with traditional and non-traditional relationships (polygamy, open marriages, etc). I also have extensive experience in creating safe therapeutic spaces for relationships to strengthen. I especially enjoy working with complex relationships that includes blended families, co-parents, foster families, and strained biological families. I have a unique ability to work with youth, teenagers, men, and women issues. I work well with conditions that include grief, addictions, trauma, sexual abuse, domestic violence, anger, self-esteem issues, depression, and anxiety.

For the last 20 years I have studied and participated in traditional African spirituality. I have undergone initiation into multiple sacred priesthoods that have allowed me to experience a in-depth insight African sociology and spirituality with a focus in ancestor’s veneration as a healing tool for negative family patterns. As a youth I grew up in a supportive Church of God in Christ church family which gives me a strong foundation of reference for my Christian clients. Many of my positions have placed in in a unique position to work through deeply rooted racial trauma and create safe platforms for individuals of all cultures can work through bias and racism. My experiences, training, education, and personal commitment to my own mental wellness helps to support my eclectic therapy style. I believe in the power of being non-judgmental. I infuse my client’s culture ,beliefs, and personal goal in the therapy journey. Again, congratulations on taking this important step towards mental wellness. I am here to serve you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
