More about Danielle

  • 12 years' experience
  • Female
  • LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Georgia with over 20 years of experience working with individuals, children, and families. I have worked with clients on a wide range of issues. I started my career working in child welfare where I worked along side parents to help them become the best versions of themselves as individuals and as parents. I am experienced in working with parents and teens and helping each person improve those familial relationships.

For over a decade, I have had the honor of working in medical settings with individuals coping with and adjusting to a new chronic and/or terminal disease diagnosis and with their families as they grapple with their new normal.

I have facilitated grief support groups for those that have lost a loved one. Processing grief is very important and looks different for everyone. I enjoy partnering with clients in finding their way back to joy and purpose after a loss.

I use an integrated approach to therapy and try to meet each client where they are. I utilize evidenced based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), but ultimately work with the individual to construct a treatment plan that serves their needs best.

It is a huge step to seek out therapy. I look forward to meeting you and helping you become the healthiest version of yourself.

Please note that, at this time, I am only accepting clients that can be seen between the hours of 9:00am and 3pm EST. My afternoon/evening slots are currently full.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions. Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Danielle really helped me understand what I was feeling by putting it into words and giving me validation for my feelings. She opened my eyes to see things in new perspectives and to turn my thoughts on their head.

Reviewed September 2022

When I got matched with Danielle, I wasn't new to therapy, and had experienced great success with my previous therapist (who retired), but was really looking for someone who could help me walk through my increasingly debilitating chronic illness and disability. I was at one of the lowest points of my life, and extremely vulnerable. Danielle was not only professional and excellent at her job, she also made me feel seen and heard regarding my illness and disability in a way no previous therapist had ever done. Her empathy, kindness, and wisdom truly helped save my life. I'm forever grateful and have zero intention of ever seeing another therapist. She's the best!
