Hello! My name is Heather Wolf, and I'm a National Board Certified Counselor, and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I have 6 years of experience in working with individuals from a variety of different backgrounds, cultural identities, and belief systems. I have worked with adults, teens, and veterans with presenting mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, stages of life changes, relationship issues, and many more. I am also a nationally Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and have extensive experience in working with individuals with disabilities.

My approach is very supportive and validating, while challenging you to confront barriers that prohibit you from living your best/fruitful life. I use a combination of supportive, cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and strengths-based approaches, and will tailor my approach based on your needs. I believe that counseling is a collaborative experience and I will work with you to help you identify your personal and mental health goals, while helping you utilize your strengths to live to your full potential.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
