The real deal. She is legit. If you're really looking to do the work and take responsibility for your life, she is the therapist for you! I wanted someone to hold me accountable, be extremely honest and take our sessions seriously. She's always on time, delivers full and thorough sessions, responds to messages and provides actual tips and guidance. Most counselors just listen, Helen will listen and also push you through the negativity to reach the positivity.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, licensed in Florida with over 30 years of experience working as a counselor. I received my Bachelor's in Psychology at Binghamton University and my Master's in Clinical Practices from the University of Hartford in Connecticut. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety reduction, treatment of panic attacks, relationship issues, parenting problems, stress management, decision paralysis and self-esteem issues.

My therapy style is nonjudgmental and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, and I am DBT informed. I have received the first level of training in EMDR and am pursuing full certification . I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you to take control of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to improve your mental and emotional well-being.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
