We have been talking for a while now and when she gives advice she asks me questions to clarify what I’m asking of her and I know she has been actively listening to me because what she says often includes bits from past conversations. Impressive and I feel heard

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in the state of Illinois. I also have a Masters Degree in Education. I have over 30 years of experience working in the field of mental health. I consider it a privilege to have been invited into the lives of others as they seek to improve their daily lives.
I believe in meeting my clients where they are. Not where they are ‘expected’ to be. I will work with you as a whole person, not just as a diagnosis. I believe in an individual’s inherent dignity and right to self determination.
I would love to join you on your journey to positive change.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

shes been so wonderful and helpful. I feel like im working through the hardest stuff Ive been through with a lot of new tools.
Peggy has been a more-than-ideal person to begin the therapy process with. She’s very kind, knowledgeable, and brings a really nice laid back energy to the sessions. She is a great listener, and truly absorbs and processes everything she hears before responding. Couldn’t recommend her more!
She is very thoughtful. I’ve only talked to her once but she seems sincere to help me. So far
She has been very helpful
I really appreciate her ability to hold space for me to vent and feel heard, and her ability to provide praise and validation without being condescending, patronizing, or disingenuous
Margaret is very compassionate
Margaret opened my eyes , showing me that what I am going through is legit. She offers great advice that I did not even think of. And that my issues are real and not self imagined.
So far I feel the most seen than I have felt in a long time. She listens so well, and gives good feedback and asks the important questions. I already feel like Im making a lot of progress.
Margaret has been probably the best therapist I have ever had. No one else has been able to connect with me so quickly, or be so understanding of my quirks and needs in therapy. Highly recommend. Also, it really helps that she's 420 friendly.
Peggy is such a great listener. She understands what I’m going through and has so much experience with my situation and is so nonjudgmental of my values. Just an example, I’m very against medication and she is giving me other resources to try out before I get to that point. My mental health is so fragile right now and she is taking the time to understand me and lead me in the right direction. During our sessions, I can really feel that she cares and wants what is best for me.
I’ve spoken with Margaret once. I enjoyed our first conversation and looking forward to speaking with her again.
Wonderful experience! She provided me a lot of tools to work with to help me out of my current situation. She is always there for me and is a great listener.
Peggy is a huge help and is an amazing person who wants to see her clients improve

Peggy is very understanding and supportive therapist. I appreciate how she listens and provides personal support that truly matches my personal needs. She is super easy to talk with and leads entirely from a place of non judgement. I also appreciate that she sends helpful podcasts to grow from following our conversations. Working with her has really allowed me to see myself and strengthened me.
Very helpful
Peggy made me comfortable to share things I hadn’t told anyone for a long time. She’s refreshingly attuned to the dirty contradictions of the real world and never judges or holds me to impossible standards; instead she’s been a sober and protective presence on my road to healing. I’m grateful I was matched with her.
Peggy has been an incredible soundboard. I am happy with how things are moving along. I signed up for another month with her.

I have been in counseling many times in my life. Some were okay, some were bad and some were great. However, I have never clicked so quickly with a therapist as I did with Margaret Couch. She is genuine and responsive and has great insights! She mentioned something about myself that no one ever has. I am very impressed!

Peggy is both personable and professional. I feel seen and appreciated as a human in my full complexity, while also appreciating the way she creates a neutral space for us to work in. Her decades of experience provide lots of insight into who I am, and valuable guidance towards who I want to be. Very very happy to have been connected with her.
