Hello!

I am an LCSW licensed in Oregon, living in Washington state and have over 20 years of experience in the field including 7+ of direct clinical work with children, youth and families and many years of experience supervising clinicians and overseeing counseling programs. Throughout my career I've been known for my strengths-based approach and have a laid back approach in counseling. I believe some humor can be healing even in our darkest moments and we can grow when we are willing to be vulnerable and really let ourselves be seen.

I'd welcome the chance to learn more about you and see if we might be a good fit to get some good work done together.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Courtney often times says things that lets me know that he really understands what is going on with me. I don't just mean that he repeats back to me what I say as some do without really understanding. I have a strong personality and know a lot about how to handle my issues and can voice that pretty well. Courtney is good at telling me when I am off track and there have been very few people in my life that have been able to do that. I am glad that he is my therapist .
