Hello, welcome to my profile. I'm a licensed clinical social worker in Pennsylvania with over 20 years of experience working directly with clients. I'm well trained and experienced working with several different modalities and use an eclectic approach with clients based on their needs and wants. This sometimes is fluid, meaning we may start with a CBT type intervention or Solutions Focused approach and move into Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction. This will all depend on you as the client, and the feedback I'll elicit from you about how helpful my suggestions and guidance are with helping you achieve improved/enhanced well being. I treat clients with anxiety, acute stress reaction, life changes, relationships issues, addiction and recovery, parenting problems, career challenges, and depression. I also have helped many people who have experienced childhood trauma and other family of origin stressors.
My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion and avoid using stigmatizing labels. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
