My name is Amy Brent. I graduated with a Master's in Counseling from St. Edward's University. I have been practicing therapy since 2012. I use a compassionate directive strengths-based approach. Primarily I use a Mindfulness based modality, but my practice is strongly influenced by attachment theory and neurobiology-based psychoeducation. I have experience working with individuals struggling with relationship issues and issues related to self-esteem. I help clients decrease negative self-talk, mood instability, challenging irrational beliefs, anxiety. I help clients build the life they want to live.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
