Compassionate and chill while getting right to the heart of therapy. Dent provided interventions in the very first session that brought emotional relief and a vision for what was next. He provided helpful feedback often to keep me focus on the new skills I was integrating.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Two thumbs up for Dr. Gitchel! His calm demeanor and thoughtful responses were very helpful. I really appreciated how he framed our conversations within both Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and mindfulness practices. He regularly referenced other professionals and shared resources for me to check out in between sessions. An element of working with Dent that especially stood out is his follow up. A day or two after each session, he sent a message summarizing what we'd discussed along with gentle suggestions for the week to come. I have no hesitation in recommending Dent to others who want support navigating life's challenges with more awareness and self-compassion.

When I started therapy I was nervous to have the cliche therapist that just listens and asks “how does that make you feel” without giving feedback. This couldn’t be further from the truth with Dr Dent. He listened, cared and provided practical tools in helping me tackle my life’s challenges. 10/10 recommend and will be continuing our sessions later on

I am so grateful that instead of giving up entirely on therapy based on my experience with my initial provider, that I made the decision in that last minute to try someone new. Thankful for the very professional communication and therapy sessions with Dr. G. Thankful that instead of validating my concerns, he offers me other perspectives and also easily recognizes my thought patterns etc and effectively teaches me ways to improve on my mental health. He also uses the full time allotted, which I appreciate. Very thankful and happy with my experience with Dr. G so far.
