Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I have a passion for helping others. I earned my Masters of Social Work in 1996 after earning a Bachelor of Science in sociology in 1993 and an Associate of Science in legal studies in 1990. As a Clinical Social Worker for over twenty years I have a wide range of experience working with trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, stress management, sleep disorders, mood disorders, matters of LGBTQ+, substance abuse, grief and loss, and coping with life changes. I have worked with many populations to include persons who suffered abuse and trauma, military Veterans, and persons who experience substance abuse disorder.
I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches, to include cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, and motivational enhancement therapy depending on your need for the best outcome. Together we can develop a therapeutic treatment plan with goals to accurately reflect your needs and concerns.
People seek therapy for many reasons and at various times in their lives. I want to offer a safe place for you to share, heal, and reduce emotional suffering. I believe each person has answers within and I look forward to supporting and assisting you in learning new life skills and perspectives to enhance and enrich your life.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
