Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes that to have a successful outcome in therapy, the client and therapist must first build a strong rapport. I strive to make this happen and once that foundation is laid, I will use one of several therapeutic modalities, depending on the issue at hand. These modalities may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Psychotherapy. I am known for being friendly, a good listener, caring, sensitive, and energetic. Not only do I have the necessary credentials, experience, and hours to be licensed, but I also work full-time as a School Social Worker in an urban setting with middle school students and I am a mom to four children who range in age from 9 to 24 years old. I truly believe that prioritizing one's mental health is an investment in itself and it is an active step towards your healing journey.

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space. Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I have had at this point a few sessions with Heather and I genuinely feel great speaking to her. I feel as though I am able to share anything and that I will be heard and supported. She is so kind and welcoming to speak to. I have tried many therapy and counselling services, but this is the first time I can safely say I feel a weight lifted off my chest after every session.
