Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I have started with better help and I’m already able to tell a difference in my overall I’m glad I was able to be matched with someone that works for me from the start but that’s probably cause I narrowed down my options what I’m looking for on the questionnaire before I got started . the only thing I wish was different though is the limit of of 45 minutes max in one session versus one hour like I’m used to And other thing is you can’t schedule more than one session at a time so if you schedule a session and want to book another one so it doesn’t get booked for when you’re wanting it but I’ve been able to schedule twice in one week so that helps as well but that could change if more people were to get the one specific therapist I don’t know I guess I’ll see But 45 minutes once a week wouldn’t work for me if it came to that an hour is needed for one session to be able to fully benefit from a session
