More about Kara

  • 8 years' experience
  • Female
  • Psychologist

I am a licensed psychologist with over 10 years of experience, licensed in North Dakota and Minnesota. I received both my masters degree and PhD from the University of North Dakota. I also completed additional training in Rural Psychology. I have worked in various medical settings and have supervised other mental heath providers.

Clinically, I work with people across the lifespan though various concerns such as mood disorders, anxiety management, lifestyle change, and adapting to medical concerns. I want my treatment interventions to match the needs of my clients, focusing on what you want to change. I use a client centered integrated approach of interpersonal, cogntive-behavioral, and attachment focus interventions.

Personally, I enjoy spending time with my two dogs (who you may get to meet during video sessions), spending time outside in nature, and enjoying quality time with my family.

I am looking forward to working with you as you seek growth and change in your life. I have seen many make great strides in their goals and know it is possible. I believe online therapy is a great tool to use in accomplishing them.
