More about Lindsey

  • 15 years' experience
  • Female
  • LCSW

I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW), Sociologist, and Life Coach with over 15 years experience providing therapeutic services to adults, adolescents and children. I have worked with individuals in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient settings, crisis and emergency shelter services, community mental health, and medical clinics. I have worked with persons who have been victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, serious mental health issues and homelessness, among others.

My therapy style is motivating and supportive, but direct, while using humor and optimism to develop an effective therapeutic rapport and bring about change. My theoretical orientations primarily used are person-centered and cognitive-behavioral. My approach combines Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I will tailor our time together and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I have a commitment to quality and compassionate mental health services. I pride myself on being non-biased and non-judgemental.

It takes incredible courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I ALWAYS make every effort to accommodate your schedule and/or time zone. If my current availability does not work with your schedule, please message me directly. I'm happy to try my best to make specific accommodations for you!

Please note that I diligently check your messages daily, other than Sundays. I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions. Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Lindsey is excellent! I haven’t had great luck with therapists in the past, so I thought I’d give BetterHelp a try. I was matched with Lindsey and from our first session was one of the best therapy sessions I’ve ever had. The second was even better! I will continue to use Lindsey as my therapist from her in out.

Reviewed January 2023

Lindsey is very approachable and considerate. This is my first ever therapy experience and I appreciate her guidance when I don't really know how to approach my emotions and issues. Lindsey has given me tangible tools in the form of questionnaires, guidelines, etc. to help me process issues after our scheduled video chats have ended and does a great job of circling back on issues in follow up sessions. She is very no-nonsense when I am struggling to justify my behavior or concerns and wildly supportive when I take steps to address situations that are not serving me. I am so grateful to have her in my corner in this season of life as I explore new ways to grow and heal.
